Pet micromanagement requires skill, but can be done and it's effective if u know its pros and cons.TenTonHammer wrote:personally i would take a 2h axe wielding tank that is just as good as SnB tanks some how any way any day
over this kinda wonky ai reliant "good for 3 tiers/falls off in the 4th" mdps we have right now
I don't think WLs will fall off in T4 like on live, especially because there will be no TB here

what is there to pet management besides setting it on passive then hotbinding pet attack and retreat?

Re: [White Lion] The White Lions of Chrace
Ensuring it's with you before you CS;using heal; constantly checking where it is/health. Even more micromanagement with Guardian spec (random timing on the KD etc)

Re: [White Lion] The White Lions of Chrace
Even on live with TB they didn't fall off. My RR100 WL was an absolute monster, although I take the point of an earlier post that in an organised group setting you do need to pair with someone with an incoming heal-debuff. Our outgoing heal-debuff often just isn't good enough.kryss wrote:Pet micromanagement requires skill, but can be done and it's effective if u know its pros and cons.TenTonHammer wrote:personally i would take a 2h axe wielding tank that is just as good as SnB tanks some how any way any day

You just have to accept what the WL is. It's supposed to go in, burst a cloth or medium armour down, and get out. How many WLs I see hitting on heavy armour just makes my eyes bleed. If a target is heavy armour, or doesn't go down after one rotation, you generally shouldn't bother unless there's nothing else left.

Re: [White Lion] The White Lions of Chrace
agree on that. Many times you se "wannabe pro" lions going against S&B tanks instead of focussing the squid herder/magus/sorceress that is melting their face.... but that's another story lol

Re: [White Lion] The White Lions of Chrace
just cant get into this class though cause its soo visually unappealing lol
Once the devs implement cosmetic armor hopefully one of them being the averlorn shield maiden armor then i ill definatly play this class more
so whats the deal with AA haste and TTH i want to maximize the effect that i get from the tactic but i know that TTK is the dps stance right? and TTT is our chase ish/perma snare target and escape stance?
when should i use ttk vs tth?

Re: [White Lion] The White Lions of Chrace
At T3 and below I find that the pet does a good proportion of my damage, so I tend to avoid TTT unless its for chasing people. TTH or TTK then depends somewhat on personal preference it seems. The AA Haste is amazing but, it does require a tactic and we only have three tactic slots available to us at the moment. I run the following at R35/RR40 and don't miss the AA Haste:
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wl; ... 8:;0:0:0:0:
As you can see, rather than taking the AA Haste tactic I've gone and took Cull the Weak, which totally hits like a truck. AA Haste gives better sustained damage, but I play mine around explosive bursts. In this build, TTK would be obvious choice, but TTT also works rather well as it raises my crit chance to nearly 25% and thus gives more burst.
At higher levels when pet damage starts to scale less, I normally ran:
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wl; ... 8:;0:0:0:0:
Fourth tactic was AA Haste which got swapped out by Lions Fury if I ran with a Whispering Wind and Spirit debuffing Sword Master. Even with Lions Fury I often found myself using TTH.

Peter.. any wl trying to dps a dok down with a challenge on them isplaying the wrong class. The channel aoe has a use. I would recomend experimenting with it before you blindly dismiss it. The nice thing about starting the game over feom square one was using some of the knowledge you picked up playing the game for years in the lower tiers with a much smaller tool bag.
