Lots of people here talking about hos the gear dispairty isnt bad and neither is the grind, that there is no big gap between ruin and conq

yet i look ahead to when we have poeple in sov and stuff going against new people in ruin and there will be a very real powergap and where this is going to become an issue

1. Not possible due to work schedule
2. Check
3. Check
4. Doesn't really work. If people try that we just let them die.
5. Check
6. Not realistic if you dont run the same 6 man or thight knitted guild grps

I have fulfilled 4 out 6 conditions and I'm sitting at 0 conq after two weeks. Sure I had some real bad luck on the rolls and I have about 200 medallions in total on the 2 chars I played. So I could buy 2 belts I guess

Stat blocks for Sov aren't out yet, and they're going to be much reduced compared to live.

1. nope
2. check
3. check
4. well, usually people steal from the party/wb that I'm in...
5. check
6. lmao

two months "earnings"
-Conq body
-Duplicate
-Bugged Gold Bag
-Cape from Purple Bag
-Useless Dagger from Purple (2.4 sec speed on a dagger for WE? into the garbage it goes...)
-and maybe 7 more useless Purple Bags

I guess it could be worse. Might earn maybe a dozen more purples that I don't need (which someone else might need, but I can't opt out from...)
Gold Bags just require 5-8 hours of effort in same zone with no breaks, and I can maybe have the motivation to pull such a session once per week, usually resulting in shitty RNG rolls and no loot or another useless purple.

Come on, let's be real now, rofl. Unless you run with a group of trusted guildies or close friends that will never happen.

To the ppl saying you dont need conq etc etc you are right but at the same time if certain aspects of the game frustrate you or the friends you use to play the game with no longer log in there are not many other reasons to log on other then to get the next armor set be it because you like the appearance, want the power increase or are some sort of completionist.

Its a thin line between a difficult grind and a grind that is difficult and unrealistically obtainable in a fair amount of play time, currently the grind is on the unrealistically obtainable side of things, i dont want an easy grind but i also dont want to see a grind where i cant be bothered to log in because the time it will take me to gear another char is so long.
As i said in a previous response just being able to convert medals/emblems up and down with a 1-5 and 5-1 rate would prolly be enough to make ppl like myself think they dont need to work a 2nd job to gear out a char.
Them 3-4 weeks i spent to get my shaman geared was done playing 6+ hours a day, some times going afk for an hour or so to not lose zone contribution during the 5+ hour zone fights, it was tiresome, at times was unenjoyable and then you get slapped by the rng, how would you feel playing hard for 6 hours, getting top contribution and rolling 20 or getting a gold bag to find the same piece you already have for the 4th time.

Also ppl saying you can mix sets, conq jump isnt great etc etc, sure for non healers mixing sets is better but for pure healers conq is a big leap as you can see from this ss

When said and done respeccing and changing jewels i lost 1 level of resolute defense, tiny amount of willpower and 20 odd ini and gained all that tough, wounds, 3 heal crit, just over 1% reduce chance to be crit and the defense proc, i can certainly feel the increase and for players who are always striving for bis (which is alot of players) its a must.

The grind as of now makes me not want to play if anything, it's an arbitrary amount of required medallions and that number should be halved. Nothing wrong with having to grind a bit, though it's really disproportionate to the amount of time I would like to play for enjoyment. To wait a lengthy amount of days just to be on a even playing field feels flawed and time consuming, all for a game.

Just because you have to put in effort to get the best possible items you stop playing? Damn. You are not entitled to the best stuff, ya know?

Funny all the players that argue in favor of these absurd gear prices are the ones with 20-30+ hours of game time a week.

The price doesn't even make sense when you factor in that loot bags don't increase with amount of ppl in zone, BUT DO decrease with less ppl in the zone.

Last I would like to add that the gear sets and weapons DO make a huge difference.
When you can combine 2 or 3, 2 piece sets and get upward of a 150 main stat plus with talis and upgraded armor value. THAT is HUGE.

You lose gear bonus but who the heck cares about a 5% to some stat you can get from SC wep, or RR, also the proc bonus are a plus but nothing that would make you want it. For example no one says "I have to wait for this proc to line up burst."
