NOTE: I am grateful and I never complained. The devs are my heroes for bringing this game back and no matter how many changes they make I will play on. But I am not a happy camper.

Not a big fan of changes from the original game. Things were just fine. The only one's complaining were the people too lazy to adapt or learn how to play and they do not deserve to be listened to. Yet all the devs do (here and in the original) is listen to the cryers.

No not saying this to troll, no not saying this to be negative. This is how I felt then and feel now as well.

Take the group heal; Why did it get changed from a Heal over Time to a single dot? Because lame players pugging complained.
Moving blue and purple items to RvR only: Because lame players that need a zerg around them to do anything cause they suck with small groups, complained there were not enough people in RvR. Guess what... people are STILL farming to get the gold to pay the high AH fees.
Instead of setting a limit on AH on how high a price can be set, nooooo you guys move the purp and blue gear to rvr.....

Just please stop listening to cry babies like Penri (sp)...
Just please leave the game as it was....
Just please do not try to "make" it better.... you are not!

Agree'd i think every one from the "DONT CHANGE A THING; WAR WAS PERFECT!", crowd came from a bizarre alternate dimension where mythic was some how able to balance the giant mess that was t4.

That or they were one of those who rolled mara, slayers, doks, wps and all the other “mainstream t4 classes” and/or they have no idea about what balance truly is.

Either way I don’t think we should take them seriously.

My main has always been the WH and my SW and on Destro I usually played my WE. Yeah I had healers and even tried a tank but that was so I could help out my guild mates in ToVL so they didnt have to heal all the time and they could run different toons through.

Balance;
You are looking for balance across all the classes so they can solo all the classes. Sorry, war is NOT FOR YOU. Go Home and play WOW.

Balance was found ONLY in the right grp makeup for whatever you were planning on doing. Remember, WAR is a grp game, not a solo game. Each class brought its bonuses that when combined in a grp with other classes created (through buffs) TADA!!!!!! BALANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the cry babies want each class to be able to be on par with all the other classes. BLAH!!! You are destroying war.!

Healing;
Healing was fine. Some classes heal better then others and some dps better than others. Combine the two in your grp and OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! BALANCE!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who would have thunk??????????

Instead of making WAR into a cookie cutter version of other inferior PvP mmo's, why dont we leave it be? Instead of thinking ONLY of yourself and being solo, why dont you look at the game from the perspective it is supposed to be looked at? The GROUP game.

Read it all before. Show me a post in which you don't say "The game is perfect, never change it, only cryers, whiners and bads want change!" and instead provide some rationale and evidence, and maybe I'll listen.

That and you're dead wrong about the blue and purple gear as well. I changed that to get people out of crappy PvE farming and into RvR and SCs, which are what this game is about. I think you just want to pick fights.

Sorry you feel this way and ignoring what goes against what "you" think the game should be is a perfect way to make yourself out to be right all the time.

If people are too stupid to play an SC the right way, you shrug it off and call them idiots. You do not change the mechanics of an SC to force people to play a certain way.
Same with the blue and purple PvE items. In the mornings I log on a few hrs to farm before work. No time to get involved in RvR. I do RvR at nights when I have free time and leisure. I am not alone, others do the same thing. Spend X amount of time in PvE and X amount in RvR.
But you feel we are playing wrong and change the game mechanics. No offense but, who are you to tell me when I should PvE and when I should RvR? That is my decision to make.

NOTE: If the items were/are PvP gear, then no problem, make them buyable with medallions only as they were in original game. Again, no reason to change the mechanics around.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but what if we took that next flag out as well, wouldn't that push the fighting to the back of the sc? Possibly take out all flags and just make it a deathmatch?

Well actually, yes you do, if doing so both prevents spawncamping and funnels a massed force into an area where more options exist. If people choose to play the SC in a way that ignores 80% of its actual area, that's a flaw in the SC. The mechanics are ALWAYS to blame for the choices players make.

If I had said "Anyone camping the Landing / spawn will be banned!!!" that would have been trying to force players to do what I want. I'm merely correcting a flaw in the map.

No single change will ever be perfect, but the problem was that players interested in PvPing, yet also desiring the best gear, would paradoxically not PvP because it was better for them to sit in PvE farming mobs with the most basic and gross AI and code imaginable. I'm sorry that the opportunity to grind has been taken away by this, but I did what was necessary to get players into RvR and I feel no shame about that.

Short-term fix. Adding medallions would have required the assistance of others.

I'm happy to listen to any point of view so long as it is properly reasoned and explained. That was my only gripe with your previous posts.

I feel I need to mention that this server is not subject to my whim and fancy, and so far the only intentional changes (i.e. ones that are not transitory) from Mythic's game have been the KotBS / Chosen auras and the Reikland Factory flag. Those with whom I keep my counsel are all experienced with the game as it used to be, and hold a mix of viewpoints. Anything you see me do, therefore, does not represent solely my opinion, for I am not so arrogant as to push changes that are my product alone.

Said my piece AZ and I read yours and all is well. Two people do not always have to agree. (gets boring too fast that way).
Though I did misspeak when I said that you are enforcing "YOUR" will on the game. You are right that was wrong of me and I am sorry. Re-reading it this morning and I do not like it either.

Anyway;
All I ask, is that game mechanics stay pat. Obviously broken abilities should be fixed, and I can see abilities being expanded, but nerfing something in one class just leads to problems down the road for that class. (look what mythic did with engi and magus and even wh/we).

Just one question.... when do we get RvR Gear?

PS: Without disrespect to anyone, MMO players are lemmings. If you have a landing flag or not does not make a difference, they will gravitate to nearest objective and fight over that.

PSS: All those complaining at being targeted through walls. Yes I have seen this but also saw a WL bitch and moan about me killing him through the wall ...... and I was at the ramp platform above him shooting down.
LOOK UP PEOPLE!!!! If desies have the plant, good chance their ranged are above you as well.

Prior to flag being removed people would just go under the stairs and aoe there. Now they do it through walls.
