This sounds really complicated, why not just nerf the WL? :lol:


I never understood why having less time means you have to play like crap.

How do you have such selective reading. It's like your looking for reasons to argue.

I said if WL is buffed...BUFFED. They would need a 5 - 10 second CD on pounce to make up for the added utlity, damage or survivability.

Your responding to it like we suggested a nerf to pounce in the current state of the class.
Pounce would need a snare/root component to be useful with any kind of cooldown. Any non-instant gap closer (i.e. Intercept-like skills) needs a CC part to enable the user to catch up with the target, at least in a tab-target MMO with (comparatively) high latency and ability lag.
In its current iteration Pounce doesn't work as a gap-closer on a moving target (and it gets silly against anyone with IMS).

I'm sorry if I'm misinterpreted your post, but I think the push to make MMOs less group oriented is ruining the genre.

MMOs are a social game by nature, a game where playing together as a team should be important. There seems to be this idea that everyone secretly wants to be a dps, that people don't want to play tanks or healers.


We need less Rambo in modern MMOs

This was exactly my point. People don't have time to form a group, or simply are too lazy to form a group (in a group game). And when they die against a group of enemies they complain and ask for nerfs.

Most of the times those WLs pouncing on keeps are getting healed from below. And their targets are usually squishy, unguarded destro who don't even get a single heal before they die. So basically, it is a 2-3 (WL + 1 or 2 healers) vs. 1 (a solo sorc/SH). Death is the inevitable outcome in this situation. However, if that destro player had been guarded or being healed by his group...

Groups will always stomp solo players. I understand people asking for Premade vs. Premade and PUG vs. PUG SCs. But are you guys now gonna ask for Premade vs. Premade and PUG vs. PUG RvR lakes?

What balls said. Just an CD makes it in my eyes worthless. But i think Devs knows that and if they really change it they wouldnt just give it an CD.

I don't disagree with that, maybe something like a 0.5 - 1 second KD on a 10 second cool down. Maybe a 15 second cool down and a 40% snare that lasts 5 seconds.

It's hard to say, what change would need to change without saying how much a buff and added untillty WL would get (ie: wounds, armor, heal, ect.debuffs)

It starts with people asking for a warband after logging in and requests to build groups are ignored. People just want to hide in a big mass, where nothing is required and a single players has no effect.
Dying is no option.

The only kills you'll get when keep-Pouncing are sub-21's and undergeared squishies. If you don't global that grey Sorc you need to get the **** out of dodge before the other 23 players in the keep descend on you. And even if you do global them, they get resurrected almost instantly and are back in fighting condition within the minute, whereas the White Lion has a respawn-run ahead of them if they die on the palisades.

Additionally, the mere presence of Guard/Save 'da Runts on your buff bar means 9/10 DPS will just ignore you and go for a softer target.
