Karast wrote:Napalm is just not that great for farming. Been running it a lot and it is just not worth it. Better to go deep tinker and just use LR and blunderbuss. That's the better option.

The first 10s of napalm are trash, the second 10 are junk, and the final 10 are okay. Where all of LR is great.

Only place napalm comes in hand is delaying on flags, and when you need to toss some AoE around a corner or down a ramp.

Tink / grenade will work well and if you use bombardment turret your aoe dots tick faster so mobs die faster.
Back in T3 it was a beast, nowadays it just burns pretty

So according to your advices (thanks for replies), I came up with something like this:
RoR.builders - Engineer
Any good?

I actually really like a version of kegsniper for Black Crag wyvern farming.. my engy is under rr40 so YMMV, but something like this set-up is great: RoR.builders - Engineer

I pretty much stand in one spot and clear everything within snipe range. Use the turret to help pull 4-5 mobs at a time. Use rod and other AOE abilities to clear them out.

Tried snipe farming at BC trolls, well nice, position yourself properly to not get spawns on your arse and no downtime.
A big but - very easy to fall asleep, rotation is too short and you better not pull 2-3 trolls at a time.
Tho I strongly believe there are many better ways for aoe farm

with the recent nerfs on aoe dispels i find grenadier quite funy to play although i did run sniper all time thanks to snipe OP damage.
basically my spec is something like this:

RoR.builders - Engineer

http://www.ror.builders/career/engineer ... ,3667,3647

so basically the idea is sapm as more aoe as possible while having disarm and dodge as morale/talent tree skill. so far it proved very funny especially in siege enviroment where you dot a whole world and your bombard turret make em tick a lot faster. dont expect to have any burst, yet you are something really annoying to deal with.

p.s. NEVER, i repeat, NEVER focus tanks!!!

for example DOK can dispel only one person and no more the whole raid so means more DOT uptime and less damage loss.
moreover the new bombardemnt turret make grenades a lot quicker (35%) which is a whole world of difference.
for stats i go straight thoughness+wounds. armor is no sense because ost dps classes ignore or bypass armor and enemy caster dont need to penetrate your armor with spells ( :D) so better go endurance+wounds and then go full dodge+disrupt in renown then stack remeining with BS.

i am proving very annoying in warband fights and siege enviroments both defense and offense. Wher i shine? defending keep lord from destro. SPAM GRANDEZ! :D and watch screen clutter with numbers!!! enemy healers will need to sweat a lot for keep raid up and i am only 1! imagine with a BW together what we can do! :D

Dok can cleanse multiple people, just not himself and party at the same time. He can however cleanse 5 ppl at a cost of not cleansing himself.

Actually I know what a warband of engineers can do. ;)
But we prefer the flame turret as you then raise your target cap limit.

@dok: as just mentioned. He can still cleanse his group if he stands at the back.
