90% of the time, if you give "advice" to someone they will take offense to it. For instance if you notice you are never getting HoTs as say a sorc and you say "can you please HoT me" it will translate into "HEY YOU **** IDIOT LEARN HOW TO HEAL" on their end.
well to be fair 90% of the time that is how people tend to phrase it in this game and then log into their healer alt and proceed to suck just as bad at healing as whoever they were insulting

i pretty much only play heal in WAR and i'm really thankful about comments like "can you please HoT me" cause someone is helping me keeping track of all the info around me, especially with currently bugged unit frames and/or when being the only healer in the SC (in this case i really have to be careful how to spend every single AP and global cd)
just sayin...

Most of the times i see comments berating healers its because the healers are either dead through most of the sc or acting like track stars whilst being chased by a melee train of slayers...

Last sc i played on my zealot i ran around fortress being chased by 3 mdps whilst our entire party hit on a kobs, who was clearly being healed by a wp on the bridge.. i must have literally been running through their screen shots as i died.. nothing, no reaction, no guard, not one of them hit the slayers or the wl chasing me.

I hit respawn.. by the time back to barracks the three mdps that were chasing me wipe them.. so now "we" wiped cause our healer sucked.. why didnt i heal them when the mdps started hitting them.. .. .. .. long story short, the worst healer in the world is a dead healer, a dead healer will heal you for exactly zero hp.

If the mdps and the tanks are too self absorbed to pay attention to their healer and act like the healer is not there then i dont see why the healer should give a rats arse as to their opinions about the healer.. lol

anyway, cannot wait till there is rr for out of party healing and the lvl cap lifted so i can get MoM on my AM and play a DPS toon again :)
Always hopeful of finding a DPS AM guild.. if anyone ever sees one, with low entrance standards, please let me know..

On Morfee's point about scoreboards have to agree 100%. A Cleanse is better than a heal, and an absorb is at least as good as a heal. Neither show up. Scoreboards generally are pointless.

Dmg is also vastly over rated on scoreboards. If someone does 200k dmg and has only 1 db then they should hang their head, only way that happened is for them to be beating on things that are being healed faster than they are putting out dps... in which case, assist someone who has better dps

I learned to protect healers once I started playing serious premades.. and I gotta say the dead healer argument doesn't hold up when I often see 3 healers behind me in SCs, still alive and kicking, focusing heals on MDPS and tanks hitting other tanks while not a single HoT was given to the DPS focusing on the backline healers.

Gotta ask, did this happen in T1? Sounds like something only T1 people would do, to be honest..

unfortunately no.. this was when my zealot was rank 18 (so no group heal) and the only healer in the sc on the destro side.. tabbing through targets to get insta cast HoTs off, but really was not a fun thing to do, and if its not fun i simply stop doing it.. never had this problem on a dps AM :P

More power to you, to be honest. Play what you like and what you're good at, helps a ton more than playing the 'necessary' (read: FOTM) class ^^
