I don't know why, but I sometimes forget shitty people exist. You are 100% right.Tklees wrote:bbakert1 wrote:What if the devs posted which bug reports earned mounts and who submitted them? Not only would that give us insight on what to look out for but would also give a shoutout to those individuals who took the time to find them and report them.
it will also give the people that got banned for the exploit, im assuming here, a target to beat on and berate

We're directly incentivizing people to report ridiculously stupid bugs which, if they so wished, they could easily exploit to do more, hidden, damage to everyone else in the game. Duping any item? Duping purple talismans? Far worse than one or two people with 60% mounts on one character.taccr wrote:What I'm trying to say here is: I hope you guys are awarding the skin of the mount and not an advantage in pvp by being faster and having reduced dismount chance.
We've already seen that people do not want a wipe to deal with issues like this. Bereft of the stick, we present to you the carrot.

May I ask where to report those kind of bugs? Do i post them using the bugtracker or I send a message to someone from the staff. Also how will I know if its worthy of a reward?

A game-breaking bug should be sent to a GM in a private message over the forums. A way to be sure of it being a game-breaking bug, you need to question how much it could affect the game. Duping is an obvious one; unfair generation of new items that basically spawn out of nowhere, decreasing its value and giving personal gain to the single player responsible for the duping. Gold spawning goes the same way; and can even heavily affect the rest of the game's economy if too much of it is introduced to even a few people. There's also game-breaking bugs related to exponential xp gains; instant influence maxed, instant renown rank maxed or instant level 32 bugs will heavily diminish the efforts of the devs team to make the game playable and enjoyable in all ways of MMORPG progression, which is central to war. Other currency bugs such as medallion and emblem gains should also be reported.panakon1 wrote:May I ask where to report those kind of bugs? The best way to get rewarded for your efforts, is to explain how the exploit is performed, so it can be fixed in the quickest way. It will also tell whether or not you've used the exploit before for your own gains before reporting it. Replicating the exploit a few times to understand how it works, and then explain it to a developer/GM, will probably net you more chances of a reward than mindlessly exploiting the bug yourself to make even more of a profit, before reporting it.
You shouldn't be questioning if it's worthy of a reward; simply report exploits to make the game a bit better and safer for all. That's what we're all here for.
