To be fair, it is disputes between myself and gankbus. My guildmates have neither the time nor the inclination to be bothered by the petty antics of those disputes. However, I disagree regarding the difficulty to allocate blame - I think that is rather obvious...

I too, share this sentiment. It is why I do spend the time and am inclined to brain-wreck and **** all over those that would exhibit this behavior. Vigilante justice - I'm all in. ;)

Euan wrote:So you banned me for just telling a GM the player was perfectly right to post what he posted, he didn't do anything bad at all and it wasn't even something serious because you have a problem with me? You think that makes it better? That doesnt' seem fair to me.

Magicthighs even went as far to edit his post.
I'm going to have to pass that one to Magic.
Euan wrote:You discredited me when I shared my experiences and even when presented with actual proof (noisestorm) they're just disregarded.
On the contrary - I ended up admitting that I don't want to be the one to take action in such cases, and why, which is something of a victory for you there.

In the last case you pointed out, Noise was issued with a warning, and there were some in the staff who wanted to go even further than that. When I say that it remains to be seen what will happen here, I mean it. I'm not the only one with a big stick around here.
Euan wrote:I really don't understand where you even get that I'm a troll or zealot. I'm obviously passionate about the game and wish it was better so I give my input. It might not be the way you like it but I usually post things relating to. I don't always like how you write things or what you write but I accept it and try to understand the message behind it. If you read messsages between us, there's always been with some thought behind it and some understanding towards your views. As I mentioned before, I didn't really want to do this, it's a chore and not only that I would be blacklisted. I mailed you before that I am not out to get the staff.
Well... I've been in your position before, and sometimes it's not the message that turns people against you, it's the way that you broadcast it. There are people in this topic who have raised failings of the GM team and the staff in a concise and polite manner, and who did not begin by showing an aggressive public demeanor (and yes, I realize the irony that it's me saying this). That in my view is the best way to go about it. Conversely when there's aggression and very short accusations of abuse, it's hard to come to any other conclusion than someone is either trolling or is letting the force of their zeal go too far.
Euan wrote:I've offered to help, and you might not agree with me but would I do a good job? I think so. I would act professional and I'm sure the rest of you would let me know right away if I was doing something wrong. Getting some info and answering questions and/or regarding bans is hardly power and it can be taken away as easily as it was given. There is literally nothing to lose.
I know first hand that there's a right and a wrong way to go about getting into a position, because I know someone who did basically the same thing you're doing or attempting to do. Generally speaking, you can either challenge an institution or group from within or without, but if you do so from the outside, and with force, it becomes very hard for that group to trust you enough in future to invite you in.
Ade wrote:I find this quite saddening, but its nice that you are honest about the situation, I suppose this is an issue for the GM staff to sort out.
I will at least do you all the justice of being honest with you. I'm human too, and I have aims within this project which I try not to jeopardize. The silver lining to this cloud is now that I've said this, it gives the community ammunition with which they can aim to have the GM and moderation team expanded so that we avoid this conflict of interest.

Drama, drama.

Is there actually any reason why this hasn't been locked/erased already except mebbe pseudo-sado-masochism...?!

Not everything needs to stay on the internet or be public, really, seriously...

Not sure if you have even read this thread by that remark, this thread may have started off as some drama but the points raised and discussed I would argue have been rather helpful/insightful to the current state of the community/staff.

Amount of time wasted in this drama would bring us T4 at least if used towards developing game.
* Khruumm - IB * Rhunor - RP * Khrumka - BW * Voltimor - Sorcerer * Tecet - Zealot * Raid leader of Duraz Tarag. Member of 7th Legion Guild.

And the amount of time wasted in developing this game would bring us world peace if used towards it.

Sorry, you're right. T_T There should be a news post: Euan delays T4. I'd get even more hate.
Is this a shitpost? Let me know through personal message.

Because coming down on detractors with an iron fist proves their point, and because in the last few pages this thread produced something of value.

Is there really a risk? The worst thing I could do is go on some rant and the most that can happen in that situation is I get perma banned. Honestly at first i was mad in this thread but now I feel relief. I'm going to do my best *which doesn't take a lot* to act respectful toward other players/staff and post things in a constructive manner. It'll help with getting my point across and there might be more willingness to take me serious and listen.

Would love if you decided to do something this sensible before you posted this thread. Considering it took you half a day and nearly one hundred posts in this topic to realise a better course of action is somewhat charming, but also worrisome.
