Critical Error: Authentication failed...

Hi guyz,
Recently i changed my modem and after that i started to have this problem,ror launches well but after that at character select screen i was unable to see any log in process. and after 1 min it gave the critical error. then i tried nearly all of the solutions mentioned before and none of them seem to worked,closing firewall included. later decided to see if problem is connection based or not, i opened my phones wifi and when i tried it was a successful log in. when i switched my new home wifi again and tried log in was successful again. i dont understand so much from this internet connection stuff but it worked for me. just switch to another wifi log in and go back to your primary wifi.

After last post it happened again and now i just downloaded a vpn client everything works super fine

Similar issue, was fixed. Webserver was out of sync with the game, hoping it's cleared up some of the other persistent issues with newer accounts and character deletions/renames.

Well I hate to jump on this bandwagon but it's more of the same here.

Did the VPN thing, opened ports, changed my password, unchecked Read Only, and tried every step reccommended in this thread up to this page.

I distantly recall this being part of what killed WAR the first time out.

edit: so here's an "odd" thing. Though I get ejected with an authentication error when my client is trying to contact the server if I deliberately enter the wrong password the patcher catches it. That sounds like it's working like it should.

Wheeeee!

Changed my pw to something simple, tried a proxy, tried a re-DL, etc etc etc same basic issue of functionally being unable to serially connect to the server more than once every two weeks.
