GTDC rework

Let's take a look at this skill from two aspects: support and DPS

1. Support
imagine the battlefield and formation.
At the front line, there are tanks.
Behind them, there are melee DPS,
but in between, there are hybrids like DPS tanks and tanky DPS.
Examples of tanky DPS are Monstro Mara, Guardian WL, Assault SW, and mSH.
In common, they all have skill trees and utilities supporting this role,
( except for WL, which might be a slight exception, but let's put that aside for now. )

Next in line are mDPS classes.
These include Mara, WL, Slayer, Choppa, and close-range BW/Sorc.
Up to this point, we have the melee line.

After that, we have ranged DPS.
SW/SH, BW/Sorc, Engie/Magus belong to this category.

Veterans often move back and forth in these lines,
seizing opportunities and retreating when it's dangerous.

Lastly, there are healers. ( WH/WE fit everywhere. )

If the timid melees flee all the way to the healer line,
the formation crumbles, leading to defeat.

Maintaining or breaking this formation is the beginning and end of the battle.

Now let's talk about Engie/Magus and their Magnet/Rift ability.
Magnet/Rift is part of the close-range skill tree.
It is designed as a support-oriented tree with formation disruption capabilities,
distributed fairly to both sides.
but they're still rdps. Being in melee range poses a risk.
Understanding the threat of disrupting the formation, this level of risk must be paid.

However, there's the GTDC.
it exists in the role of a mdps that has no connection to support or crowd control.

You might ask if Chop Fasta is a support skill, but it actually belongs to Slayer's Shatter Limbs position.
Shatter Limbs is similar to BO's "Not in da face!" and SM mirrors BO,
so SM-BO-Slayer-Choppa forms a cross-mirror of CD increase/decrease.
IMO, It is a result of a complex mirror and not designed as a support tree.
mSH gains an additional CD increase ability in terms of AoE vs. ST, which is specific to the RoR version, afaik.

Furthermore, due to this one skill, the role of supporting magus becomes completely useless for the destruction side.
Instead, GTDC easily breaks the Order formation,
but it's unclear why Destruction has to sacrifice Magus to gain this advantage
and why Order has to endure the disadvantage of maintaining the formation.

2. DPS
let's look at the DPS aspect.
Slayer and Choppa are mirror classes, similar to BW and Sorc.
You're assigned the roles of a pure DPS, respectively.

The issue lies in GTDC occupying the position where Slayer's ID should be mirrored.
Why doesn't Choppa have a DPS skill in Slayer's best DPS skill position?
GTDC should be a DPS skill, a formidable ability comparable to ID.

3. Realm counter
let's assume why it has remained this way.
It's a skill to counter Rampage in funnels.
Both Rampage and GTDC are skills criticized for being exploitative by both factions.
Some may argue that both factions have skills to deal with funnels,
but I believe both sides are being exploited.
Competing to see who can exploit better is not healthy gameplay.
When you're at a funnel, it's just absurd. You either dissolve or bounce away.

I believe that funneling is a terrain problem and should be addressed through terrain.
It's time to separate Rampage and GTDC from funneling and examine them separately.

4. Suggestion
the question remains of how to make GTDC a skill that rivals ID.
ID is a skill that combines ST with AoE DoT.
How about making GTDC a combination of AoE with ST DoT?
It would involve applying a 3sec ST DoT to random targets while channeling AoE damage.
Although ID still appears to be superior, this approach should minimize the impact on Chop Fasta.
