T1 Lair Bosses droprate

Over the past dozen lair bosses I've done, I've only seen 2 blue weapons and 1 helmet drop. One of these weapons wasn't even usable by anyone in our realm; it was a shield for an Ironbreaker. Is there a way to guarantee a blue drop each time for the correct faction, so it can at least be considered worth the trouble of doing? It's a true pain to form a good enough party to do the lair with, even more so when the bosses don't drop anything worthwhile.

Also, I've heard that the Bind Equip function from the Decayed weapons in the Norsca lair doesn't even bind the item to you. Is there a way to fix this, and apply the Bind on Equip function to the Lady weapons and Bandit Queen helmets as well? It'd be nice to see these items on the Auction House for T1 twinks and appearance hunters, while the formerly unusable items people may get from the bosses are actually put to good use.

Yes please, the white lion helms are ugly and I would keep to get the bandit queen version.

BOP is correct, don't roll on drops you can't use.

The drop should belong to the realm which did most damage to the boss.
The problem is that you lose ownership on mobs, when dying.
Dying is no option.

why not just make lair gear tradeable again? So many of the items got wiped with the pre t2 item wipe patch since they were on peoples toons who couldnt even use them

i dont understand why they are untradble now its just cosmetic items, make them tradeable and it will incentivize people to do lairs more and will bring more people into t1 and will bring more action to t1 as people fight over lairs again

hell if nothing else make it tradeable so that we can share it with realm mates so that they too can use it for alt appearance my brother was dying for a bandit queen bg helm and never got one because the item had a bugged drop rate and some one in our guild got one but they cant share the helm with him, i have a bq choppa and kotbs helm that i wouldnt mind sharing with people in my guild and relm

Yeah I'm fine with not rolling for loot I can't use, but when everyone in the party does that since no item for any of the usable classes does, the drop is simply wasted. Making the items BoE ensures the items will still be put to good use, be it on an alt or sold to somebody else for appearance.

Bind on Pickup for trivial items (stat wise) for T1 gear that looks amazing, is simply wrong, since you're forcing people to get lucky on a T1 character. VERY lucky at that, since 1. the droprates and terrible 2. there's no guarantee something for your class, let alone realm, will drop and 3. they're hard to kill on a T1 character, even with a full group/half a WB.

BoP and BoE are wrong in any circumstances. Unless the goal is to irritate people.

Fixing the way loot drops in general is something that has been discussed internally a lot recently. I am not sure (as a DB dev) if the code is currently capable of checking what faction it should drop loot for, so mobs which are frequently killed by both realms have to have a loot table with items belonging to both realms. In any case, guaranteeing a certain number of drops is not something we can do, and will be a priority in any new loot system that gets implemented.

And you might be dismayed to learn, anecdotal evidence aside, that the droprate on those T1 lairs is already several times greater than it was on WAR, or at least what it was on RoR several months ago.

Would it possible to make them tradeable again? They are simply for cosmetic purposes (you have to agree.. the conehead white helms are so uggly :>).

I remember when the lairs were first 'introduced', while we were still able to solo farm them every minute... there was a chance to get 2, and sometimes even 3 Bandit Queen helmets dropped at the same time. One helmet per drop occured like 4/5 times. This droprate seemed to be the increased variant.

Just did my 13th lair boss kill, and whaddaya know, it was a blue Long Rifle. I do recall the Order items dropping for Destro and vice versa existing before with Wanderer/Gale-Runner stuff, but this eventually got fixed. There's still a few bugged realm items that pop up, but having more Order weapons drop for me than Destro, while I'm ON Destro, just seems a bit out of the ordinary.
