[AM]/[SHM] Balance Suggestions

Hi all,

Just wanted to run some ideas by the community...

First off, to me AM is generally in a decent spot, and very strong soloing, so any change is intended to have as little impact to solo power as possible.
The healing is fine too, it's a specialised toolkit, but makes AM unique.

Where AM could use some love is in the AoE DD and ST department, it's weak and the long cds on DE and SoC means a lot of downtime on your impactful abilities.
AM shouldn't be on actual DD power level, but moving up from 50% to 75% would be great.

So here's my suggestions..

1. [AM] Radiant Burst
Increased to 20f radius. The 15f is simply too small, and is one of the only 15f DD AoEs in the game. The 40% size increase will make this a lot more reliable and significantly add to our dmg.

1. [SHM] Bigger 'n Quicker Scuse
Increases Scuse Me!'s cone by 20f and reduces cd by 10 sec. Replaces tactic You Really Got Nuthin.

2. Dissipating Energy/Da Waaaagh! Is Coming
Tranq now also reduces cd by 40%. if this is too generous, you can remove the AP discount.

3. Storm of Cronos/Scuse Me!
Tranq now reduces cd by 40% and increases dmg by 20%.

2. and 3. could be tied to 1. tactic, if deemed too strong.

The other problem both full DPS and to a lesser degree heal has, is inability to use the mechanic which leads to awkwardly long 10 cast build ups.

4. Changing Winds/Gork o' Wazzit Mork?
convert all mechanic points to opposite, for 10 seconds for each point increase outgoing healing, damage and Critical hit rate by 3% and gives "Unstable" debuff; 10-20% chance per point on all abilities to self dmg (true dmg of sorc/bw at 100).
60 seconds cooldown, no GCD, cost 35 AP.

This new ability will solve this and with the relatively long cooldown to keep the mechanic relevant and a drawback to make it inefficient/risky for soloing, it should not be too overpowered. The additional crit/dmg/heal/selfdmg could be reduced or removed if deemed too strong, but I like the idea of SW's VoN buff.

5. Empowered Lores/Burst o' Waaagh
Reduces Changing Winds cd by 30 seconds.

This currently is a completely useless tactic and now has a purpose, and ShAM is already blessed with strong tactics so taking this over something will have some opportunity cost as well.


4 of these 5 changes can be directly mirrored, now being that I only have about 200 crests on shammy vs +40k on my AM, I'll leave it to my green buddies to say if this is fair and good for them.

And on a SM side note: making WW 20s duration 40s cd would be a massive help for AM too.

Can we, please, fix the heal classes with real mastery spec issues first? Not AM with a whopping 2 different options to choose from
RoR doesnt deserve being taken seriously.

Ah, you are completely right, so sorry (despite me saying AM is in a decent state, the mere creation of this thread has of course meant devs dropped everything else to work on this), can you please share the list of classes it's acceptable to give feedback on?

Archmage and Shaman is already the strongest healer in the game at full potential, increasing the radius of the AoE ST HOT is unnecessary. If anything, it should be reverted back to 1 target.
