I found using the hack on nvidia gpus to add ambient occlusion to WAR, adds an extra 10-20 fps. Not to mention, looks a lot more modern. I've never tested why. My theory is that WAR is so cpu bound, that the hack offloads more to the gpu, or it could be it switches shader rendering methods. Running ...

Wouldn't a coordinate group just Quake/Heaven's Fury/Penance/Universal Confusion your entire group and pick it apart while tanks are unable to guard swap? The thing is that it's not a very clear-cut issue, since the causes seem to be different. Did you verify that your influence didn't get counted for the opposing faction?
In some cases the combat log might lie to you when it comes to inf, so it's a good measurement for things working/not working.
