Loyalty

Hi,


What do you think about making a sort of loyalty system that rewards players for sticking to 1 faction instead of xrealming around ?


That could give to players the feeling that they are fighting for their realm, and express faction identity

Rewards might be mostly cosmetics, like custom armor/weapons/hats with faction's identity/style.

Could be special mounts too.

Also Titles.

Terrible suggestion. Sure lets all stack on one side and the other logs off. We want another live server where only one side gets to siege the enemy WC. Xrealm is a hoax, spread by shallow minded faction priders to explain common human behavior known as "logging off" and "going to bed". The actual amount of people switching sides in that manner is minimal.

Rather, lets make a system that rewards players by switching to the other side to balance out pop.

Not hoax. I xrealm everytime order about to blob forts. And not only me, AAO swings significantly. I earned vict ring that way, only by xrealm and never actually fighting against my main realm.

proofs that a loyalty system that just offer cosmetics and titles reward will unbalance pop ?

you can also reward players who are xrealming, im totaly ok with that. My point is to reward faction loyalty, not to punish xrealmer.

why not put a summary on the log in screen. sort of like SoR on the log in screen with pop #'s / kills / open zones and keep status.

The population was completely fine today and on most days, there's just too many guild and warband leaders with fragile ego who can only play if they are winning with overwhelming odds, and also call in /1 region chat for everyone else to AFK with them instead of playing.

Balance is usually fine 90% of time, we need better warband leaders who create good content.

A ''loyalty'' system would be fine but it shouldn't happen to punish x-realmer, simply because it wouldn't work.

Instead it can be about an expanded reward system for high renown rank, should be implemented to reward players for sticking to their main toons( indirectly that leads to some faction loyalty since progress would take a lot of time and commitment to a character).

Currently there is not any real incentive to go beyond RR 80 and this should change imho to make characters more attractive but without impacting performance or balance, devs could reward their High level players with fashionhammer rewards imho, most games does this but RoR offers very little in this regard.

Something like, starting from RR 85 -RR90. New unqiue and thematic item skins between RR 85-90, Permanent guild mount at 90.

Beyond RR 90 it could be further expanded( although extremely few a likely to get here, it's still a nice carrot on a stick which adds flavor to the server).

P.S.

The only concern with x-realming are those weak-minded individuals that change side to the winning side, there should be a punishment system for that, if possible.
