Hello,

With the patch adding a stacking buff improving Renown/inf/exp after a Battlefield capture. It kinda showed us that the RoR team, understand what motivates players, and they understand the playerbehavior in this attempt to break up the zone blobs in oRvR. But the one flaw I see in this incentive, is that the progressing players might break off and capture the BOs outside of the back-n-forth murderball action in the middle of the warcamps. Where as the BiS players might shrug and not bother so much.

So if we are to examine the motivation and incentive options for BiS players, to keep RvR systems like Against All Odds (AAO), Battleobjective stacking progression buffs, and renown gain in general. Then I think we need to have a look at what rewards exsist, and could exsist for BiS players.
First of all, renown is currently not the gateway to progression. It is warcrests mostly, and majority of the players are optimized enough that they have the RR requirement sorted for a set, by the time they can affort it with Crests. So fiddling with RR gains, rewards and incentives should be less "scary" these days as RoR team have been hesitent towards too fast progression on renown in the past.

The current Renown situation
Renown gain is once again flowing in nicely. After the Summer 2021 nerf where renown gain slowed down massively, we have seen a series of sped up renown options. The blue 3%renown gloves. Event rings with RP gain. Book of BOOM and the Battleobjective buffs.

But what can a RR80+ BiS player use renown for in absolute endgame(?)
- Every two levels pass 80, you unlock óne special dye at a special dye vendor in your capital. These options are the most popular dyes reflecting the time and efforts to gain them.
- Weekly renown statue for the most rp gains per class in capticals.
- Weekly guild banners shown outside guild holds in city.
- RR 80. 90. 100 serverwide celebration messages.

Improvements and adjustments to exsisting rewards
The foundation of the exsisting ideas are solid, honestly!
But they need to be updated and altered with to stay relevant for the players to caring about them,

There for I want to spark interest, creativity and ideas with the following suggestions:
- Each RR up pass RR80 will grain a realmwide buff depending on the Rank. Example: RR 81 = 1%rp gain to all of the realm from the player who dinged. Lasting 1 hour. RR 83 = 3% lasting 3 hours. RR 100 = 20% for 20hours. Serverwide messages per ding pass 81. Let the realms truely celebrate.

- Special RR dyes are getting more popular options BUT these dyes only last 7days before they fade. This will be a mini goldsink. Afterall you have been fighting for a week in your dyes, they will fade away and we need to do more with the vast dye options in the Warhammer universe.

- The dye options from the vendor with RR requirement are cheaper the higher RR you are. Example: RR100 players will get a 50%discount. RR 90 players will get 25% and Each rank from 81 to 89 will give a 2% discount for each rank.

- The weekly top renown holder for each class gets a discount coupon for buying 1 dye of their choice, untradeable and unsellable to players.
Each month the most selected dyes from the top renown holders, will become the new RR requirement dyes at the special dyevendor for the RR 81 -rr100 dyes. so the players have some control and social interactions can come as a result in some cases.

- A special title is added to the game that just displays your RR as a title and will update your renown rank if you display it. Example: Legolas9000 with title: Renown rank 83. This is unlocked after you reach RR 80 and talk to the king.

- The old Armory leaderboard for server top RR holders is reintroduced. Lets celebrate those that have devoted years of their lives to playing RoR. Gratz pupdadoc on 101!

Once more, the goal is to make AAO and Renown being the incentive for player behaviour on BiS premade players to swap over to the outnumbered realm and fight the harder fight, with some cool rewards that are not creating even further powercreep between bis and new toons. Will everyone care for these? probably not. Some might, some have been missing things to work towards on their favorit bis main. I understand dyes, mounts and cosmetics are mostly saved for Live events to have unique rewards. Which is why I though of the fading dyes with 7day duration instead of everlasting durations.

Would you care more about your RR, AAO, and the Battleobjective buffs after 80, and if so, what would movivate you?

Unique hats. Cool specular dyes or fancy weapon skins.
Getting a buff that gives a small rr/exp/influence bonus for people in a 15ft radius around you. Getting some kind of glowing aura that can be toggled on and off and just looks nice. Making orcs 1% bigger for each rank above 80. Special rr80+ emotes.

This topic arises from time to time because of the fact that RoR is really underdeveloped in this regard(not rewarding high RR committed players with real cosmetic improvements).

However if the idea is to incentivize players to aim high, then the reward has to match the effort.

Dyes won't incentivize anyone sorry. Most veterans are fed up with dyes ( we have too many already through all event dyes). Dyes are just boring at this point, the market and bank inventory is bloated with them.

There needs to be a real incentive. New unique weapon// armor skins(again look at all those awesome NPC stuff). Permanent Guild mount at high RR, unique race stuff that separates the high lvl player from the common soldier. Stuff that would motivate players to farm RR beyond just the BIS gear(which is acquired to easily anyways). Make Fashionhammer a real endgame goal.

So, the devs could do a lot to make high RR player more distinguished and reward the committed players.

1 ra point per 2 rr ranks past 80, so at rr100 you get 10 more ra points to spend.
