Every mutated skill took a armor pen nerf with blanket change to PB. EDIT: I think WL had two skills take an armor pen nerf instead of the vast majority.

Yeah, the thing is, the rest of WL's skill didn't have any additional armor pen from a tactic like PB in the first place. Thus, if you didn't have anything at all, it can't be nerfed.

PB was to help balance for the lack of pet damage / loner tactic. Our's got nerfed, WL didn't. Although i feel both classes are still ok in general.

If you are using loner tactic - you can't use +50% crit damage.

As WL, you are using the loner not because it gives you more damage - it's not. Its reserved for the situations where you are unable mitigate your class's main weakness - your own pet (and devs did absolutely NOTHING to address that).

What does that mean? It means that loner is reserved for PvE (unless its safe to use your pet), AoE (usually) or when your opponent is aware that your damage is garbage without your pet so they kill it the moment it moves into their range (and your damage together with your pet).

Imagine as a mara that you've got into melee range, used a few skills and all of a sudden your damage is dropped to the point that some dps BO will laugh at your pathetic numbers.

P.S. I'm not sure that loner WL is better as ST dps than SM...As for the pet damage - ask SH, their Spiked thing is completely broken.

I imagine we will never agree and that's ok. i do agree the pet is trash, but loner is nice. I do have 80+ both of WL and Mara, i know that mara is strong, but WL in my experience is (was?) significantly stronger in the main game play of this game. ORvR. In small scale, mara probably wins out. I do think both classes are still viable in both small- and large-scale fights, even after patch.

EDIT: sorry for derailing thread. In all honesty, the patch really didn't change the builds for most mara outside of situational skills.

Mara is still doing ok. İ liked the changes.
İt is always hard to play against a good WL because Pounce/pull + kd + armor DB is making this class brustier and mobile at the sametime. İf you dont have a proper guard and heal, you will be easy target for wls.

How about after successfull use of the whole convulsive slashing channel the "guillotine" ability will automatically fire to reward the enormous skill of pressing channel and letting it run for 3 full seconds?

Usels, make a mara yourself and spec into brut and see how bad this spec performs instead of trolling.

Oh I do have a BIS Mara. Specced into Brut you can rip apart pretty much everything and everyone in a group. Buffing it in any way shape or form even further would just make it go from very strong to absolutely broken OP in the single target spec.

Mara is good class. Only problem is there are a lot of tactics which are useless so nobody use it. Have you ever picked Convulsive Slashing tactic? I tried a few times and it was waste of tactic slot. Therefore, i think it would be better to embed such tactics into skill without wasting any tactic slot.

Maybe, it should just mirror aSW "Swift Strikes"?
With +25% extra crit chance added to CS to Unstable Convulsions, like Merciles Soldier gives to SS?

It should be brutal, it's Brutality after all.
