Calm down, this patch was obviously a late April Fool's joke, right?
Right!?

Weighting bloodlord "proc" as 40 stat points seems very overdone at the very least :

+5% damage is about +80 main stat (tested a while ago for some DPS and Tank classes)
-10% Armour is about -200 to -500 depends on armour class (averaging around -350)
-10% toughness is about -30 to -90 depends on class (averaging around -40)

So, according to the new stat weight system, we got on average :
+80 main stat (*1) = 80
-40 Toughness (*1) = -40
-350 armour (*0.25) = -87.5

Meaning on average (medium armoured class with around 400 toughness) we are nearly losing 130 points worth of stats to gain +80 main stat equivalent, for a final loss of -50.

Even on extreme case (given Light armour on glass-canon WH for example) :
-16 toughness (*1) = 16
-180 armour (*0.25)= 45

We got at best a +19 stat increase (+80-61), but at the cost of being even more glass-canon...

Adding to this comparison any other 5% chance damaging proc, averaging 2 to 2.5% of total damage (looking many combat logs), which if we consider this as a +2% damage increase, represents about +36 offensive stat ; meaning even for the most used Bloodlord builds (glass-canon DPS), taking any other proc could be better stat-wise than Bloodlord one.

In conclusion, giving a 40 weight to the Bloodlord bonus which is mostly balancing itself out looks like NOT the right calculation to me.

This game got worse and worse over the last year. I've been playing it a lot, more than I should, but even I am starting to lose the will to live to the point that I've started to look at GW2 again. I've been supportive of stat rebalancing, as too many things are out of kilter and it would provide a good foundation to built further on, but it's clearly been executed poorly. On top of that:

- prioritising PvE over RvR in a PvP game
- PVE weapons being positioned as a necessity or BiS
- Over valuing of procs in the last patch
- Strike through / INI changes
- Rebalancing of stats in the midst of class balancing
- introduction of crowns, so PUG WBs now blob on top of each other
- rDPS patch that nobody knows when it comes out
- Class balancing that takes seems to take years, with some classes remaining OP throughout
- Totally unnecessary and random buffs of classes like WE/WH, whilst others like WL stayed king for years
- Roaming being dominated by stealth classes and DPS healers, with limited counter play to either
- Items like regen that create major imbalances in some classes
- The focus on "major" balance patches, rather than gradual buffs/nerfs
- With each patch, build versatility seems to be getting less and more gravitating towards cookie cutter specs

My SW is close to Tri ring. In all honesty, I just don't even know whether I should take it or save the crests, as god knows what a shambles the gear/set/jewerly stat changes will be - or when they'll happen. On top of that, nobody knows when the rDPS patch will hit, so even more uncertainty.

There just seems to be no logic in what's being done, and if there's a plan it's not being communicated. No wonder nearly all organised guilds that can field WBs have left, and what's left is mostly PUG WBs, with the exception of prime time where sporadically you may see a guild WB. Soon, summer will hit and less people wil be online and the lakes will get even more toxic, as groups of stealth and DPS healers will just farm people.

Phenomenal writeup as always. Unfortunately, transparency and any sort of justification behind their decision making process is something that people have been asking for since at least 2020 when I started playing, and outside of a few short periods where they seemed like they were turning over a new leaf, it's pretty much part and parcel at this point.

Also, I'm not sure whether they've ever asked you to join the RoR team or not - but there's genuinely nobody in the playerbase that'd be better suited for it

how about rankeds scenes, it was unique fun stuff! It need just little adjusment in reward system thats all to bring it to life.
On current patch can say that we going backward in situation with defense over offense. Gear need more stat power, crit around fine. Set bonuses should give just a raw power to start penetrating all this defensive overpowered machines like def healers and tanks.

This server has been a joke for a while now. I occasionally drop by, to see if anything is looking up, only to see they've dropped the biggest nuke yet.

Not surprising.

Yeah seems like the past 2 years there was one nerfageddon after another. Nerfing crit on fortress weapons and offering anti crit fortress weapons in return. You Defs really hate that crit don't you. Why don't you call the game tanks and casters instead of ROR? Would be more fitting.
