So, you really want to give "charge" to a character who has - Heldabuff and Armordebuff (which does not require a tactics slot) - is equipped with a two-handed weapon, has a burst rotation through the use of a 2-second hammer (Divine Impact) which allows you to recharge your auto-attack and put it into burst rotation.
DPS WP has always been a class for playing in scenarios and 6x6, if you add mobility to this class, it will be the best DPS
Oh yeah, and of course I forgot about the ability to cleanse, apply a hot, shield to yourself and your allies, and heal yourself and your allies by dealing damage.
It's funny to see such stupid questions.
Let's give every class a button that kills everyone within a 20 ft radius.

Moreover, there's always the "Flee" ability.
DPS WPs with over 50iq use "Flee" and Action Point Potion.
Another one professing his ignorance about a class, the "Flee" option has been thoroughly debunked as an option for dps DoK/WP in this thread an many others you just need to read, go ahead and try again though.

you know, as someone who has mained dps dok and been playing the game on and off since the day the live server first launched, i am actually unhappy with the shield being added to the dok/wp. its not that i dont think its a strong playstyle, its more that i think it ruined the dps version of the classes' play style, i loved being able to shred people up and heal my group with all the damage. Now the melee healing with 2hand or 2swords is basically useless considering you need to take a 40% gimp on healing while already not having willpower for healing. imo 2hand wp/2sword dok have no real spot in the game that it truly fits in. solo is hard because you trade important dps utility (knockdown/pounce/disarm/leap/pull) for self healing thats basically nonexistent. Not to mention that its most powerful skill (channeled healing strikes) have been nerfed into uselessness because the enemy can cancel them out by simply moving slightly to the left or jumping. The damage (while good) is all single target so it has no place in warbands because it will always fall short to aoe choppa/mara/sorc, even we has more aoe, and shield is clearly superior in 6man and solo because its defensive and can still heal. 2hand and 2 swords needs a knockdown/disarm or some way to do aoe so it can actually fit somehwere.
also fyi the cripple/snares on dok aren't as great as they seem, you need to be able to land the hit for it to work and it can be cleansed so sw and dps rp are still really hard to catch up to, a lot of times you will be basically dead before you even get a hit on them, and with gimped healing its pretty hard to come back even if you get there, i'd really rather just have a knockdown, even it if they gave it a long cooldown or something.
anyone saying 2hand/dw dont need some work aren't actually playing them.
At the current moment in the game, i would suggest either just going shield, or going wh/we instead because you'll have more damage and utility.
Also for the dude who was like "herp derp, damage shield and self healing" the damage shield is only strong enough to block one hit from any dps worth a **** and it takes almost 50 of our heal resource which is a lot when you have to use a skill that blocks you out of gaining that resource back, and your hot will heal you for like 130-200 health when you have no healing power and you're under heal debuff from a wh. i promise that 200 health a second heal while you're taking 1.2k damage a second from wh/wl/engi/rp/bw/sw is next to useless, and you don't really heal with damage much, you have the channeled attack, but as i've already stated its almost impossible to actually use, so you're actually left with only one attack that deals damage and returns it in health, and you can't just sit there and only spam that one attack and think you're going to do anything.
