Twilight Tide - Farming Toxicity

Let me start by saying that I know its impossible to please everyone but there are definite QOL improvements that can be made for this event.

What im witnessing (and being forced to do myself) is that in the PVE farms you get bullies who try and pull everything and even try to steal mobs you are already DPSing. This can be largely attributed to the fact that:
  • There simply are not enough spawns in IOD or Tier 4
  • Mob respawn times are too long - half their respawn time
  • Drops are horrible - mainly trash, precursor and its unknown why the drops of shards is so high because they're rarely used by anyone. These need to be equalised or better balanced
What else can we do.... here's some ideas:
  • Increase number of twilight mob spawns around tier 4 and IOD - the PQ's just take up valuable space - get rid of them and put in twilight mobs
  • Instance twilight mobs into spawns in new caves - e.g. create a simple instance like Crypts and fill it full of twilight mobs so that you/your group can farm in peace... no lockouts
  • Clarify mob tagging - is it the first to tag or is it the most damage? Im not convinced of either of these as ive witnessed tanks rock up and start hitting mobs being dps'd by a group and they walked away with the spoils.... how?
The TLDR of this is that this could be a fun event but it forces you to play selfishly which I don't like.

I agree. Loot is not very well balanced. You drown in shards but have a hard time gathering metals. Imho events should be fun for everybody, but as it is now it is definitely not. Adjustments have to be made.

this is so wrong. these mobs were added as QOL previous year because of all complainers and drop rates are already too good.
0 risk to farm 30+30 crates per hours from pve ? are you serious.

mats for BIS rings should not drop from PVE. period. If anything, drops from pve kills should be adjusted down

Or just stop making PVE requirement in a PVP game.

the pve method was given presumably so people can farm if they are lacking at pvp skill. the "toxic" nature of it was there in past years as well. if anything the big mistake was adding a portal so that you can access the other faction's side easier (was already doable via clever jumps or selfpunting but not many knew how).

having private instances for it is truly on a whole new level of pandering, you already chose the easy method and risk free way out of the event, it shouldn't be any easier. the fact you are allowed to turbo farm pve mobs to obtain bis pvp items is already a horrible amalgamation of game system design that shouldn't exist in all honesty. simply do more damage and pull faster than the other parties and they will eventually get bored and leave.

they're massively increased the droprates in pvp (especially loot from high RR players). if you good at pvp, just solo roam and make 50-75 boxes per hour with ease. or do duo/trio/6man roaming group and split with some friends. there's no need to do the pve method honestly, especially this year, when kills are dropping minimum 2-4 boxes each if the player is at least 50rr. in the past pve method was arguably equal or better but now i don't think it's worth it. just let the noobies sit on their depressing isle and go own in the lakes and farm 2x what they are while they slave away fighting npcs who don't fight back.

BiS items should not be restricted to time-gated Events. These should only give limited lifespan items, like it always has been before Twilight Tide.

Yup, the amount of asshole marauders who have outed themselves is amazing. 100% of them show up & try to take the entire farm & then cry & try to pull lord into other groups when they aren't getting any loot drops because they get out-aoe'd by a sorc.

Not everyone has time to play this game 24/7 & farm multiple characters for these roles.

Then again, it just seems like this game has been developed into catering to the very small elitist community, hence why the population of this game has dropped so severely over the years.

To all those who complain about BiS gear coming from pve ...

So I take it none of you have done any dungeons? None of you have sent rings and / or weapons? Or BS weapons?
Also lets be honest. Order has a 12 hour per day PvDoor time slot where they steam roll loot bags and fort wins against a minimal destro side.

So let's get off the high and mighty horse shall we? WAR stopped being a PvP game a long time ago. When the easiest and fastest way to gear up in T4 comes from dungeons, no ... this is not a PvP game.

Get used to it and get off that horse as well.

Nope never ran a dungeon, not one bit of PvE gear except a bloodlord weapon that I bought on the AH for 100 gold for my WP because I would be dumb not to buy it at that price.

The fact that you think RoR is not a RvR game is really telling, hey devs is this really what you want this game to be known for?

There used to be a code of honor on pve. No one entered someone else's spot no one (or at least most) was attacked on pve from the opposing faction.
Here it is a tragedy.
People from the opposing faction should be automatically flagged when they cross to the other side.
People from the same faction do not respect anything and behave like animals.
But such are the times where honor and respect are almost non-existent.
I even felt like reporting some players who acted like they were the only ones on the island. However, with our population, I don't like individuals being banned.
