Now for real, stop with all this senseless blobbing its terrible, its not fun anymore and its completely devoid of tactics and logic except for "My Lads will beat your Lads because my Lads outnumber your Lads !"
Im rather new to RoR but ive still heard about some regular Players that Quit RoR over the fact that People dont care about honest to Sigmar RvR, instead they blob. They blob at Night, they blob in the Mornin, they blob at Noon, they blob at Lunch damn guys, i bet they'd even blob in real life if they had the chance. I have no idea for how long this has been going on but ive got the feeling that it has become alot worse in the last weeks.
I have no idea which Faction started it and its childish to look for a faction to blame but damn...ima blame Destro (strongly Order biased opinion and just a Joke)
In LoTD there is this debuff thingy which activates when too many players of the same faction are in the same spot "Your Realm cant support that many Players etc." you know what im talking about. Is there no way to implement this in standard RvR ? If there are more than 24 people in the same spot there will be debuffs, that'd make people think twice about committing to the Blob.
It just came to my mind that my suggestion wouldnt work because of Sieges...but ill still leave it here as an honest suggestion.
Best Regards
Rostpogge

Re: Stob the Blob
If the devs wanted to curb blobbing, they had 10 years to do it. Since nothing was done to stop blobbing, it's safe to assume that's the way they want the game to be played.
You don't have to participate in blobbing though. You can play the game without ever joining warbands.

And I blame people like you who somehow think that reducing the number of targets the underdog faction can hit will somehow make them have a chance against greater numbers, for the crappy blobzilla that was spawned from the 9 target cap test. All reducing the number of targets you can hit does is make the underdog faction worse against a blob.
Re: Stob the Blob
They just needed to take it one step further on the 9 cap, Keep Morales / Challenge / AoE AoE HD aura's at 24, or just tone down the power similar to LoTD

Re: Stob the Blob
The problem is unless you outnumber opponents in this game literally nothing happens.
Because otherwise OP healers spamming party heal while their brain switches off will keep everything alive until everyone dies of boredom.

Re: Stob the Blob
24 aoe works against u in open rvr. only in funnel when u bomb choke points 24aoe shines. (byt how much are situations when realm defend keep/fort. its diferent question)reyaloran wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:56 pmAnd I blame people like you who somehow think that reducing the number of targets the underdog faction can hit will somehow make them have a chance against greater numbers, for the crappy blobzilla that was spawned from the 9 target cap test. its hard to give order tanks morale pump and for bw /wl aoe knock down and morale drain? that why give 24aoe. call it balance
and fix sm +wp wounds buff stuck. its around 1k+wounds,
so many stuff need to fix/change. for realm balance
"give wh and witch propper aoe like evrywone has it!"
Re: Stob the Blob
Whenever I see people bring up the LOTD rations effect as a way to discourage blobbing I have to wonder if you guys have ever played LOTD haha, because LOTD has the blobbiest fights despite that debuff.
Funny thing is, the spread out BOs in LOTD mean that players do have to spread out if they want a "victory". So we need to do the same in RVR. We need something to encourage players to spread out if they want to win. Like in that short period after a keep is captured which, incidentally, provides some of the best RVR.
The trouble is, players will only spread out if they want to "win", so "winning" will have to be worth it. Playing the campaign and capturing zones will have to be worth it. Right now, only a few kills gives as much renown as a zone lock - and you have lots of rr80+ bis players that don't even care about renown points - so this is really a mammoth task.
