Spiked squig atm is the most damage oriented pet for SH, but there is a few things i would like to change since it has 2 distinctive things which make it (IMHO) too powerful.
First one is the fact is the rate it converts owner's stats from items - 150% from bs and 50% from ws. (100% each for damage oriented WL pet).
At the first sight, it looks okay. But if you look a bit deeper into the situation - Spiked squig has way more damage, unless it attacks a tank or a something with a significant amount of armor (like WP who is stacking armor).
Why? Because those squishies take way more damage from 150% base stat since after they got their armor debuffed they are basically naked (clothies) or almost naked (default medium armor).
Proposal: Change spiked squig's stat scale to 100% each stat, like WL damage oriented pet(we won't be buffing WL's pet by giving him the same stat scale, right?).
The second one is the ability of a spiked squig "Poisoned spine" which has 5s cd and debuffs you for 5s for a -10%(!) crit chance.
Yes, just because you are attacked by spiked squig your crit chance is (almost) permanently lowered by 10%. Isn't that a bit too much for a damage oriented pet? The WL's damage oriented pet has no debuffs whatsoever (well, he actually does, but its just a DoT). Nothing WL's pet can do can be compared to this.
Proposal: There is a few ways.
1. Nerf this ability to something more reasonable. Like -5% crit chance for 5 seconds, 10-15s cd (still questionable since increasing pet's spam ability cd will lead to it's reduced damage output - and this is the main role of this ability)
2. Move the debuff part from this ability to the pets SH currently doesn't use. (Horned squig or default squig). Default squig is probably the most suitable since its role is to save you from damage.
3. Pet which role is to deal damage should deal damage - and thats it. Remove the debuff part from ability.
