A handful of LOTD suggestion aimed at making the gamemode more engaging both in terms of objective controled gameplay, creating more spread out action, and giving smaller groups something more to do and hopefully getting more pvp encounters. Which is a hard line to hit correctly, but Im willing to take a swing at it. Give me your feedback if you have other ideas to hit these tearget areas for this gamemode
Requirements to capture or contest a Battleobjective
Right now we have the special 2-point-away requirement, and I think this is a fantastic system.
But I think its maybe time to revisit how many players are needed for captureing of a point. Right now seemingly a stealther in stealth being near a capture point can stall out the timer no matter how many players are standing on the point with all monsters cleared and the timer reaching 0.00sec left.
This is an amazing feeling for the one person, but feels horrible for the few who are now "tied" to this BO untill you can finally cap. As long as the stealth duration is as long as it is on RoR, I think this is anti-fun gameplay but also admittedly good "manpower allocation" which this gamemode is all about.
Suggestion: Make the pve monsters instantly spawn on a BO when it has been fully captured. Central and "main" regrouping BOs such as Tome of Bitterwinds and Forbidden vaults plus the 3 center BOs will have a champion pack spawning. But any outskirt BOs will have 3-4 normal monsters and one Realm Banner spawning.
This banner can be removed from a WE/WH useing their archtype "booby Trap" ability to instantly remove that banner and make the monsters attackable. Visable players will need to have a player run in, aggro the monsters and someone else removing the banner via channeling the objective to make the monsters attackable.
Also battleobjectives being attempted captureing will still capture if your realm outnumber the enemy more than 3 times in numbers.
In order to try and make more groups roam the outskirt, and it being more "worth while your time" to go back to a flag and hopefully find a fight, each flag will show a color based on who many are attempting to capture it.
Largescale 24+ Orange border frame on the flag
Mediumscale 7-17 Yellow color
Smallscale 1-6 Green color.
If you attack a BO and bring the same size as the attackers took the BO with, it flips 50% faster than normally. And you get a 3minut +20% droprate buff In an attempt of diverting groupsizes of the same size towards eachother.
Neutral roaming pve waves are disabled as they currently were functioning as an attempt to make the winning side spread out and having to go back and secure their supply lines. This should be a player task, this current version is not fun and it feels like "take the trash out chore" and it doesnt currently give enough pressure release for the losing side.
