Sigmartag

Click here to watch on YouTube

Bells toll across the Empire on the 18th of Sigmarzeit, for on this day Sigmar ascended to the heavens to take up his mantle as god. No longer would the men of the Old World have to live in fear of the wilds and children of Chaos, for one of their own was among the divine hosts to watch over the Empire he founded. All citizens of the Empire, praise Sigmar!

Sigmartag is the most important celebration across the Empire, as citizens flock to Altdorf for celebrations full of spectacles and food - especially Sizzling Sausages! Elsewhere, denizens of Chaos pay tribute to their own first Champion, a sad mimicry of Sigmar’s triumph.

This live event will run from May 23rd to June 2nd. May Sigmar Bless You All.

Rewards
Basic: [Sigmar's Sizzling Sausage], [Balthasar’s Blocking Bacon], [Franz’s Fiery Fishsticks], [Volkmar’s Vigilant Venison], [Harald’s Hearty Ham], [Be’lakor’s Baleful Bacon], [Festus’ Finger-lickin’ Frog Legs], or [Sigvald’s Scrumptious Sausage] - unique limited-time pocket items that give you some bonus, but at a cost. No one said such fatty food was good for the gut.
Advanced: [Hammer of the Goblins Icon] for Order, or [Harry the Hammer's Icon] for Destruction; or a Potion of Acclaim. Trophies can be previewed here .
Elite: [Heldenhammer's Pendant] for the forces of Order, or [Hammerstorm's Pendant] for the forces of Destruction. These are Live-Event-Slot items.

All Live Event rewards are only available from the associated heralds: Arch Lector Kaslain in the Temple of Sigmar, or Sven Bloody-Hand in the Sacellum.

Live Event Quest: Griffon Mounts / Chaotic Origins Disc. You can preview the Mounts here and Magus Disc here. Additionally, players who push to the end of this questline can expect to earn a new cloak.

Hidden Quests: The Sigmartag festivities have brought with them some trinkets to acquire. How many are there? What do they reward? That is for the curious to find out.

Skulls of Fallen Foes and Relics
Every player kill during this event will drop a Skull of a Fallen Foe.

New limited time shrines have appeared in Altdorf's West Temple and near the Inevitable City's Sacellum Arena. Take the skulls you acquire and contribute them here in honor of the gods, and you'll receive a limited time Renown Boost.

The Renown Boost lasts for 8 hours, and by working together as a realm, you can increase the boost even higher. The boosts, and the skulls required, are:

Realm Skull Boosts (Per faction, resets every 8 hours):
1000+ Skulls: 10% Renown Boost
2000+ Skulls: 20% Renown Boost
3000+ Skulls: 30% Renown Boost
4000+ Skulls: 40% Renown Boost
5000+ Skulls: 50% Renown Boost

Heroic Relics

After every 1,000 skulls donated, a Relic will shortly spawn in front of either the Reikwald Fortress (Order) or The Maw (Destruction).

This Relic acts as a pairing wide flag running mechanic, and if you can escort your relic all the way to the enemy's shrine (Order runs to Maw, Destro to Reikwald) and place it there, your entire realm in the zone will get an additional 50% Renown Boost, which stacks on top of your normal skull Renown Boost.

Likewise, if you intercept the enemy realm and prevent them from capturing their relic, your realm will earn a 25% Renown Bonus for a successful defense.

Relics must be taken through RvR flagged zones and cannot be pulled into PvE, and with a full 3 maps to traverse, you can set ambushes for your enemy or send scouts ahead to ensure your relic caravan survives the journey. Relics can spawn at maximum once per hour, and are intended to layer in more options for RvR players during this event.

Live Event Shoppe & Event Dyes
30 dyes are available during Sigmartag, including four spec dyes themed around the Empire and its distant history. During Sigmartag, Order players can purchase these limited-time dyes from Felicia Grunhaber near the Temple of Sigmar, and Destruction players can shop with Kresla Beingen near the western entrance to the Sacellum.

Dye previews are available here towards the bottom, but please be aware that the colors may apply differently on different base armor colors. We recommend to use an addon such as Pocket Palette to see how this dye will look on your armor, but please note it may take a few days before the add-on is updated. These colors were taken from official publications.

2025 Sigmartag Updates:

- Skulls of the Fallen have been added to the Event auto rolls

- The Blessing of the Hammer buff should also work outside of keeps / BOs (i.e. it is zone wide now, previously it was bugged)

- When the relic carrier is killed in the air, the relic should gracefully fall back to the earth and not stay frozen in the sky. The Ministry of Frustrated Players asks that you please stop punting people at 5% health.

- Renown gains are active in a radius around relic carriers, so that even if a zone is inactive, you can still earn renown if you fight around the relic carrier.

- A region-wide message will be sent out indicating how much time is left to deliver the relic.

- Tome Achievements/Titles have been added for completing Live Event tasks, and related activities.

- Players will now earn 5000 renown for successfully delivering the relic, or 2500 renown for successfully defending against a relic delivery.

- Live-event related renown buffs now stack

T3 PvE Rework

After months in the works, we are happy to announce the completion of the T3 PvE rework. The last element of this rework, which has taken the longest, was the fixing/implementing of over 1000 quests in Tier 3.

Improved rewards:
Gone are the days of +4 talismans or white gear. Every quest now has some sort of reward, and the rewards are of greater value.

Completion text has been added
to all quests so that there are logical connections between steps in quest-chains.

Questlines have been expanded or created.
Previously the superior elves had about 30 quests per chapter, while the other lesser races had around 15 to 20. This resulted in very poor questing experiences in certain storylines with single-step quests that offered little narrative reward (especially since they lacked actual completion text). While the elven questlines remain largely the same, the other races have had their quests expanded.

Hidden quests have been implemented
with interesting rewards for those who explore the dangerous world. As a Public Service Announcement from our quest-writing monkey, if the quest summons a mean hero who kills you and you return to find them gone - the quest is not broken or bugged. You can simply abandon the quest and restart that step from the game object you last interacted with. There are 96 hidden quests in Tier 3 maps, though they are not all accessible to everyone. Generally there are 16 quests per storyline, some are specific to that race; some are specific to that faction, and a handful are universal for all players.

All Tier 3 quests should be reset
. Due to the fact that certain new steps were added in the middle of storylines in order to make logical connections from one step to another, players who already completed quests would return to chapter hubs to find new quests that abruptly end. In order to avoid confusion, we opted reset every Tier 3 quest. Our apologies to the completionists out there, but this is the best way to avoid getting dozens of 'broken quest' bug reports.

Most Game Objects related to quests and tome unlocks in Tier 1 - 3 have had their cooldowns reduced from 1+ minutes to 5-10 seconds (some with animations were left at longer cooldowns).

In general, this concludes the Tier 3 PvE rework. There is one area that is left on the to-do list, which is the rework of T3 armor set appearances, but our art team is focused on something else at the moment. Until then, we'll be starting to analyze Tier 4 PvE for its rework.

T3 Keep NPCs Customization

As part of the Tier 3 rework, and a continuation of the work done in Tier 2 keeps, we are proud to introduce custom defenders for every Tier 3 keep. Savage orcs in the Badlands? Handmaidens in Avelorn? Every keep is defended by units representing some faction in the Warhammer world. Every keep lord has unique ability sets, which allow us to customize the fight.

Additionally, for those wishing to delve a bit into the lore, every Tier 2 and 3 keep lord has been added to the Noteworthy Person's section with a bit of lore around them and their faction.

In the near future, we will be finalizing this process by introducing new keep lords in all Tier 4 keeps.

As part of the Tier 3 Keep rework, we also reworked Keep Defenses quests. All Keep Defense quests have had their text updated so they are unique to that keep instead of one generic text for all quests, and now have in-progress and completion text. This includes Tier 4 Keep defenses.

All High Elf keep defense quests have had their rewards increased to match every other race's defense quests.

Altdorf Sewers & IC Sacellum

Zone maps have been added for the Altdorf and IC 'lower level' dungeons.

Bastion Stairs

The Bastion Stairs influence has changed to 32,000 , 48,000 and 64,000. This is to equate the full influence to take 4 runs, as before it would only take 2 runs to get full influence.

Elf Heraldry Shields

The High Elf Golden Pavise of the Griffon Gate has had the requirement to kill a boss in the Altdorf Tunnels moved to killing Arch Lector Verrimus in Sigmar's Crypts, making this achievable again.

The Dark Elf Gold Aspis of the Blood of Naggaroth has had the requirement to kill a boss in Bloodwraught Enclave moved to killing the Bile Lord in Bilerot Burrows, making this achievable again.

City Quest & NPC Updates
- "The Sewer's of Altdorf" Quest start has moved to the NPC "Duncaen Olwyn" closer to the Flightmaster.

- The NPC "Crier Kiosch" Has been Renamed to "Town Crier Kiosch" and his spawn has moved to Market Square. He now roams throughout market square. This is some reimplemented data from live.

- The Hidden Quest "Rare Find" has been reimplemented for Altdorf from live.

- The Hidden Quest "History Lessons" has been reimplemented for Altdorf from live, with some touch-ups. A Destruction version has also been made for parity. Have Fun!

- 2 Hidden Quests for The Inevitable City have been reimplemented from live.

- 4 Quests for The Inevitable City have been reimplemented from live.

Armor Potions

We noticed some players trying to trick others by placing 5 minute Stanchion Unguent potions on the Auction House and pricing them just under the 60 minute versions. To help prevent newer players falling for this, we've changed the name on the 5 Minute 660 Armor Potions to "Fleeting Pilaster Unguent".

Realm versus Realm

New Warcamp / Battlefield Objective Improvements: Part 1

With this patch we're making adjustments to three zones to improve the overall RvR experience and ensure fairer gameplay for both realms. A key driver of this is the Warcamp Debuff, which makes a player take increasingly higher damage the closer they push to an enemy warcamp.

We identified some areas where specific Battlefield Objectives or Keeps were very close to the Warcamp debuff; sometimes even impacted by it already. The following changes were made to help mitigate this:

Troll Country - Monastery of Morr: This Battlefield Objective has moved ~110 feet further away from the Order Warcamp, so that Destruction players can hold it and better defend it without needing to push up into Order's camp.

Shadowlands Updates: Destruction's Warcamp buff has been moved into their actual Warcamp now, and will no longer impact Order players on the Shadow Spire BO. Destruction's Guards have been pulled back up the ramp, and can still kill punted players, but should offer some a chance to escape and rejoin the fight. Destruction's Keep Flight Master has also moved closer to their Warcamp. Order's Warcamp Buff has been similarly pulled back closer to their Warcamp.

Kadrin Valley Updates: Destruction's Warcamp buff has been moved into their actual warcamp instead of being centered out front near the keep. This will prevent Destruction players from benefiting from the warcamp buff while within the South Keep of KV. Destruction's Guards have been moved back behind / on top of the wall, giving Order slightly more room to prevent enemies from getting into the South keep's range. Additionally, the South Keep's postern nearest to the Destruction Warcamp has been removed, as it was too close to the Destruction warcamp. Order's Warcamp buff has similarly been pulled back and centered inside their camp, offering Destruction players a wider path to access Stonewatch.

Badlands Update: A postern has been added on the eastern side of Thickmuck Pit's outer wall so Destruction players have better access to this keep.

As a follow-up to the logic for the postern removal in KV and addition in Badlands, we are following a rule of keeps with full encirclement by walls having 3 posterns, and with non-full encirclement having 2 posterns. These two keeps did not match this norm and have been adjusted. For the purpose of this analysis, the Garrison of Skulls is considered fully-encircled by outer walls.

This is just the start of planned improvements on this front, so let us know in the replies if there are areas you think could also be improved like the above!

General RvR Changes

- Keep lords will now immediately reset if they leave the inner keep.

- Keep claim buff now counts towards guild coin quest.

- Claiming a keep will remove guild involvement and remove current involvement buffs.

- Keep claiming buff now grants % increase of renown starting at 1% and stacking up to 10% at 1h of keep claim.

- Adjusted the chance for supplies to drop off dead players to be a one in 20 (down from 1 in 10) on a RR 100 player.

i think the tier 3 change is good, but the tier 3 pve set bonuses need to be looked at. They're so good I don't think I would ever use a non set item.

Badlands Update: A postern has been added on the eastern side of Thickmuck Pit's outer wall so Destruction players have better access to this keep.

What a lovely way of putting it. Encircled keeps, rule of xyz, following a norm. We all know and have known since first learning where order warcamp is and where the rear postern is at Thickmuck. And now you proved it possible by removing Kazad Dammaz postern due to proximity and ease of access for Destro from their warcamp. Get off those Order horses and remove that rear postern at Thickmuck, that is a disgraceful use of time and pixels trying to gaslight fairness like that. You remind me of the worst corrupt town planners.

It looks like PQs are not resetting properly. I finished Reaver's end (T2, Dark elf), Tor Elyr (T2, Dark elf). Waited 6 minutes (in game counter) to reset the PQ, nothing happened. Now the timer is stuck with 00:00.

Update: Another PQ in T2 DElf failed - Whitefire Tor.
