in 1v1 it don't really matter, game isn't 1v1. In groups (3+) and warbands, it matters. The 360 aoe has to be changed to conal or 180. There is 0 reason to be able to pounce in the middle of a blob and hit everyone around you front and back, unlike any other MDPS in the game on a channel. Pet speed tactic should be 10 sec ability that needs to be cast by WL instead of perma 50% speed buff. Makes it near impossible to kite the pet.

I have both an 80+ WL and Mara, the WL does more burst damage by far than the mara. Although the mara KD makes up for it somewhat. but the 360 aoe is nonsense on the WL.

mSH 360 AoE+leap is ok and WL 360 AoE+leap is not? mSW can only hit 1 AoE in 20 sec lets remove all AoE from mSH!

mSH wep doesn't have a heal debuff on it...

mSH was once close to WL before great nerf but not anymore.

Pls show some numbers on dummies so we can see those OPnes and witness its true glory in comparison to other classes.

"fun part", or better call it the "ridiculous part", is that you really asking for a description of the elephant in the room. Sorry but if you can not see the elephant, i wont start to convince you by telling you about the peanuts and the big dung pats everywhere around. Apart from that, all the issues are called and proven here in the thread allready by many different people in many solid ways. All over this thread. And i could waste my time now by listing all of them AGAIN, but since they seem not perceptible for the WL fanboys so far, i dont see any reason to do it AGAIN. If you choose to be blind about it, ok, but when i see threads in this Forum, where people seriously suggest to buff the pet, it crosses a border and becomes lunacy.

And while we got a thread full of evidence here, all i see from the WL fraction are "arguments" like: WL cant beat a regen tank, so everything is allright. Or: Sorc and WH also does high dmg and nobody complains about it (maybe its because they are not tanky, dont got the best mobility in the game, and dont got a super strong CC mashine pet at the same time? hmm...) So all arguments presented by you are nonsense and prove nothing, it feels more like little children who got caught and now try to find excuses for what is obvious to everyone else.

Sorry for the harsh words, but imo its absurd to justify these obvious issues with WL class, and actually it tastes like trolling at some point...

Would have to reduce the duration and damage of abilities like Broadhead Arrow, reduce ranged KDs, etc. The reason that Order meta is Super Tanky Frontline + Ranged AOE + WL is because the strength of that playstyle grouping. There are melee comparable setups for Order but they chose not to use them (SM AOE Talons frontline, etc.), which is baffling considering how accessible healers are on the Order side to support it.

It's almost like someone figured out the best chokepoint meta (tank + ranged + WL) and influenced the roadmap to make it the one. Flying into claimed keeps, etc. bad idea after bad idea.

Destro meta is all melee dmg because of the opposite (lack of ranged AOE, Knight Utility vs Chosen Utility, mSH is basically just a crappy version of Choppa, etc.).

As you noted marauder, there is a big difference in PBAOE vs cone-based damage. The game has a 5% retention rate. I don't hear exit interviews about Marauder damage or insane solo'ing mSHs. I hear AMs melting me on the way to every encounter in a zone, WLs that I can't run from, etc.

By the time a possible nerf to WL or a buff to the underperforming classes FINALLY happens, I bet many of us will take a ‘fed-up’ break of varying lengths — and that’s really a shame, because some probably won’t come back.

Honestly it's why I left the first time. Just came back after a few years, 2 min ago I got pulled off a keep wall by a WL and now I'm considering taking another few years off. This is just dumb.

It will be interesting to see. I'd like to see more unique dps abilities to counter the OP healing, tactic convergence (merging 2 tactics together), and for more self-sufficiency as tanks and healers already have. Furthermore, there's the factor of some classes being more lag friendly than others. Classes with spammable attacks that don't require a target are much more favorable when the server is under stress than classes that require skill.
