Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
If you don't want people to think this is a balance threat then you should have chosen a different title. For the actual melee chars, I don't think any char is bad right now. Marauders are good support MDPS, Choppa has crazy ST damage, WE has high burst. All 3 tanks are good although Chosen is a bit stronger in groups

Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
Yeah, but I think it's the problem with ppl playing the game, not a fault of the topic's name. We cannot live threatened that every time someone says "balance" it means something has to be nerfed/buffed -_-
Balance as in numbers, amount, tanky melee vs squishy rdps ratio. What I mean is there is a lot of melee in order and many of their career seems to be tanky but that doesn't mean someone/something should be nerfed/buffed, etc. If someone doesn't care to read (as magicthighs for example) it won't matter what the topic name is.
What I was wondering essentially is why in order there is such big amount of melee comparing to destr, at least in T2 as I already mentioned. Well, I soon be in T3 so I guess I'll check what the most common careers are and maybe level something to fill in the gaps. I thought it's because melee on destr is weaker and generally better tactic is to nuke the order with rdps, but I don't know. I haven't leveled any melee in destro that much to be able to give some input on that.

Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
oh boy.....here we go again........
[EDIT] NVM not a "balance thread"
Ok first off cause your in T2, where its just new players or people leveling their alts, most peoples mains are in T3 and theres no issues with class distribution on destro.
Its not that their "weaker" its where we are and you are at the stage of the game, order gets many of their good abilites earlier than destro espically ones that make them tanky like perserverance armor buff at 14 for kotbs now combine this with the fact that that order runs a lot of healers in t2 who are absolutly broken due to very few heal debuffs again and and you see why order can be very tanky
In t3 this is not the case as many classes get or have access to heal debuffs and maras get access to cutting claw which is one of the strongest armor debuffs in the game, apply cutting claw to an ironbreaker and watch him get melted
So if your in t2 right now mate, just slog through it as fast as you can mate cause i really do think its the worst tier, also i think you will agree with me when i say **** mandreds that dam ordo biased keep

Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
Ok, got it. Cannot wait to get into T3. There is another issue though- gearing up. Once I get BiS gear for my current bracket it's obsolete on the next level

Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
That's how a gear driven mmo works
If the gear you get at t1 can be relevent in t4 then the incentive for you to continue playing and partaking in rvr, scenarios, dungeons etc won't be there
Carrot on a stick and all that

I am not saying the t1 gear should work in t3 but could get me at least through half of the t2

Re: Lack of balance between destro and order?
Played a couple scenarios in t1 and t2 the other day and the guy is right about order having a butt-ton of melees there. Had scs with 7 tanks as a norm
Don't worry though, in T3 most Order play rdps and healers.

To show everyone what I mean two screenshots:
1. Order team that doesn't stand a chance.
2. And a typical order team make up in T2.
