Witch Hunter Question

Anyone running Exit wound at this level and giving up FC? I've been debating it lately for the heal debuff and I always liked EW over BaL for the group utility the debuff gives.

In our groups if the other DPS doesn't have incoming me or yayoh will spec EW/PTF and it helps tremendously. We tried 2 BaL for a while but if you run into a healer/tank heavy pug or really any proper 6 man you won't kill anything.

I wouldn't recommend it for solo/solo que but if you have another good dps with your in party it is amazing support/utility. You won't pump out the same numbers as your FC spec but you will be doing so much more in the grand scheme of things.

We just need lvl 40 and we can have it all :^)

I started running EW tonight and I ran it on live. I play by myself and don't really have any problems as opposed to running burn away lies. I've always been more comfortable playing EW anyway.

Hi folks, I've read through your comments, and so far, I have 9 points in the right tree, with pistol whip, and fanatical cleansing. I also have 4 points spent in middle tree, going for exit wound.

My tactics are brute strength, fanatical cleansing, and flanking.

If I can open up combat on my terms, I'll use fanatical zeal, pistol whip, and torment while they're down, absolution, followed by a fervor or two, and then the ability that drops their block/parry/disrupt by 5% if ailing. After that I'll spam torment, with the occasional absolution at 3-5 accusations thrown in.

While this seems like a good rotation, I look at other dps classes, and where they are easily breaking 30k damage, I have trouble doing so. Is this a gear, or rotations problem?

I know that i should be stacking strength (and i do), but I die often, and was wondering if I should get some armor, or toughness talismans?

Thank you again for the advice!

For starters take fervor off your bars. Secondly ignore dmg at the end of sc screen. When you see classes with super high dmg done its normally aoe whoch ends up being fluff dmg. What you should be looking at is killing blows since that's what wh excels at is pumping a lot of dmg into a single target.

For dying a lot its part of the class you need to get used too as you get a lot of focus but you are better to gear full offense but play defence. Don't over extend but instead assist and pick off their over extenders. Also with torment being a armor ignoring attack you are surprising good at pressuring tanks so if you see one low hp hit him a few times but if its not happening don't commit too hard. Also more so for the wh then the we your executions are your bread and butter. Hit that tank in your back lines get 5 points then stealth and open extra hard on a softer target. Another thing to go by on a player to player basis is if you got a guarded dps who is very hard to take down because of heals and your team is beating on him don't be afraid to hit the tank guarding him the extra dmg on the tank besides just guard can catch people slipping and force healing to be split even more.

Oh and make sure you use your detaunt its the best melee detaunt in the game with 15 secs aoe.

I feel that the damage charts were always a poor representation of how a SC went, anyone who bases skill off of damage numbers is not a good judge of skill...that being said it is always a nice feeling to see big numbers. For tanks the scenario board is just a pop-up to close (unless you are DA AoE spamming chosen)
