Scenarios- pre mades being douchebags
Re: Scenarios- pre mades being douchebags
I have solo queued too much and I know how hard it is to get steamrolled. My best advice to pugs is to try form a balanced group with others. Also try to use /assist macros on your main dps. Finally try to find a vent channel of a big guild (they have several channels and they do not feel invaded if someone uses them) and have fun. Last but not least try to find the group support builds, not solo ones. But if you are too dump and you attack the s/b tank that 1st appears in front of you while the casters melt you down there is no hope for you. You will be food for them all the time be it premade or pug. Btw...I have seen bad ass pugs kicking premades' asses badly. And not so rarely.

Basically to make the problem better we have to make it worse. Plus I just realized this is even more of a problem as some of the new gear (best gear IMO) from emblems costs 490 emblems, put the weapons on top that's nearly 900 emblems for a full set! Making the need to fix this problem even more important. I tried some SC yesterday (even though i said i quit them) to see how they were, 6 games, 6 crushing defeats and I only got 7 emblems.Arslan wrote:I have solo queued too much and I know how hard it is to get steamrolled. True but at least that is generally a uncommon event, most of the time with randoms vs randoms each team has different strengths and weaknesses they cannot conceive of before the match is in full swing. Pre-mades can custom tailor their group to perfection, also having greater communicative ability pretty much results in them focusing single targets and wiping the floor with pubbies. This compared to pubbies wiping pubbies as hard as pre-mades do is far more regular in occurrence.Sulorie wrote:Pugs may lose against other pugs as horrible as against premades. Well there is always going to be the random luck of the draw whether you are pugging it or in a premade that's part of the game.
You are going to get matches with horrible setups. I did 10 SC's yesterday won 6 lost 4. I did 15 the day before lost 13. Sometimes you get healers / tanks, sometimes you get afk bots who never leave the spawn in 6 matches in a row.
Even as a premade you might get the situation where your 1 premade is vs 2 and the pugs are just feeding them points through kills, or leeching from spawn.
It sucks either way, but I can't really think of a way to fix it. This isn't a problem limited to RoR, all pvp games with scenario type modes have it, even in FPS.

Simple solution, don't allow pre-mades. And if you really want to, have special maps reserved for pre-mades.Karast wrote:Well there is always going to be the random luck of the draw whether you are pugging it or in a premade that's part of the game.

I mean, literaly, don't allow pre-mades. In any aspect, ever. Screw them.Scottx125 wrote: Simple solution, don't allow pre-mades. And if you really want to, have special maps reserved for pre-mades.

You should also try to become a good player. You may not belong to a guild, but if you get the attention of some good premade due to your skill you will soon find yourself aming their company. This has happenned to me qute some times in the past. The best part was when Krieb-Invommingray-Tmooney etc saw me solo gannking in Reikland and for 1 month we played together. Never lost a single scen or fight vs rr80 premades or anything. But I had worked hard to be a part of their group. And solo queued for months.
