Hi there boys!(and girls)

First of all I just wanted to say that I´m feeling sooo thankfully for having you guys to develop such an amazing game- You really are doing a strenous, exhausting, and close to eternal job( which we DO apprecciate a lot).

So, I´m quite newbie in the server( I played my first yesterday ) and I chose as my first class White Lion, because I have always love them and their lore, but I got pretty much disappointed for their skills. So here´s the thing: Do I suck due to I´m "quite newbie", which means that White Lions are a good DPS class, or they actually do suck, which means that I should have taken another DPS as Slayer?

Bytheway, I´m spanish, so I would be gratefull if some spaniard people introduce himself around here.

Hmmm....see its hard to tell you exactly because well....the way WL was on live and how things were on live are different from how they are in ror so gimme a sec to research some old posts

ok so first off WL is an mdps class with the highest front load bust in the game with a pretty darn good gap closer mobility chase tool in pounce and in T3 where we are right now the class is really strong

but a lot of people remember the class falling off in T4, among other reasons but the main one being that unlike other mdps in the game the class does not have the option for an incoming heal debuff

but others contend that the reason the class fell off was because of the T4 meta with rr100 and stuff

WL was called out to be weak in t4 when we got RR100 simply because the game changed a lot and due to the fact he relies on his pet. he still had the highest armor debuff and an insane amount of burst potential it was just worth nothing. sadly nobody was looking for high burst in a meta which was all about defense and sustain combined with retarded procs like SV. even after the SV nerf ppl went for defense over offense and were running TB combined with an armor value which was beyond good and bad. the pressure was created by sustained dmg and therefor the WL had to compete with the slayer, the best class when it comes to sustained dmg. the WL suffered from his class design (high mobility & burst) and that's why he was called out weak even tho he could always do decent, just not as good as a slayer. in RoR we don't have TB and we don't get RR100. when we will see t4 WL will remain as good as he is right now. his pounce was buffed and thanks to that and the fact that we won't have those retarded defense meta again you can choose the WL any time over the slayer and combine it with a class who provides an incoming healdebuff.

Wls were considered the worse mdps on order way before any rr100.

As soon as slayers appeared, wls got forgotten and ditched aside, this was years before rr100.

There is no we will see, look at what Bretin says "wls were bad because of rr100".

This is idiotic and only someone who never played before there was rr100 can believe it, the only time where Wls shined in t4 was when fetch had a ridiculous 150ft range and you could fish people out of warcamps, end of the story.

People ran double slayer since slayer existed on order, no one wanted wls outside gimmicks.

Kinda disagree here. I mean you arent wrong, Wls were mediocre due to super defensive groups, partly thanks to armor stacking and TB. But they considered mediocre because of wps/doks armor stacking at 100. Cloth healers at 100 with armor stacking and TB werent a balance problem. Wes/choppas at 100 werent a problem. But give a dok/wp (or 2, since what groups ran 1) 100 gear and bam. Ridiculous imbalance. And since slayers/maras were the only dps that could kill those classes, it was considered balanced.

Fix those 4 classes and wls will be amazing, and it wont matter if we get rr100 gear (probably a bad idea) or TB (definitely a good idea).

And assuming things will get rebalanced, I would definitely recommend sticking with the WL class. It might be a little harder to learn and difficult when the pet bugs out (which honestly doesnt happen more here than it did on live), but it will be worth it later on.

In orvr the WL has also a big disadvantage when you like to join Warbands and love big fights. Since its mostly just bombing and aoe the pet is most of the time dead.

Pounce allows you to pick your fights and burst 1 or 2 squishies at a time and pounce away. Did that for most of the day on my WL. Ensnare is also very helpful to basically secure kills in orvr.
