Bugs and how to properly report them

I have been playing through the starting quests for the Orcs, and I have run into a few problems with the quests. I have searched the bugtracker but I find it hard to see if they are already reported or not. The Blood Sun Lobbers that throw you onto the dwarf wall to do quests, roam around as NPC's and don't function to throw you up. I looked through everything to eventually find "Lobber Hill in Mount Bloodhorn has bugged Rock Lobbers. " I wouldn't have searched for that if I was looking, I searched for "Lob it Good!" the name of the quest that takes you to the top of the wall, which returned no results.

I guess what I am asking here is how should we as a community be posting bugs? Is there a thread that I couldn't find on the forums that already explains this? Would be posting exactly what the quest name is be the right way to post bugs to the bugtracker? How should i go about finding if these bugs are already reported without having to read all of the open bugs? Would posting videos if we have the capability be more helpful than pictures? Or would pictures be enough? Are any bugs insignificant, or should everything be posted as long as it is not already on the bugtracker? If the bug is already on the bugtracker should I add more information to the post or leave it as is? If anyone has ideas or information I would highly appreciate it. Thanks everybody :)

If you search "Lobber" you will see that the same person posted the same bugs for the lobber twice in a row. I think a guide that is required to read or something before posting bugs might be a good idea.

A style guide for the bugtracker covering thread title format and also listing types of bugs not to report in any circumstance would be useful in my opinion.

If subcategories are possible within the bugtracker, that would help matters when it comes to searching for existing reports.

I agree that this would be very useful.

I personally feel uneasy about posting anything to the bug tracker because I don't know the rules, and I see many randomly posted bugs several times.

I post bugs according to how I see fit. I saw a few Rock Lobbers acting like NPCs in places where they should simply be stationary, and later on I saw a few rock lobbers who would have to be stationary WITH the purpose of flinging players away. I posted the bugs as soon as I saw then, by the way. I wasn't aware of the fact they were ALL bugged.

Be glad that somebody WAS reporting bugs in Mount Bloodhorn; nobody else has done this so far.

That is fine, but I don't think that is the most helpful way to post bugs. I want to know how the Devs want us to post bugs. I think some guidelines would help, and until I know I don't feel right posting about any bugs.

Yeah, I agree with that. The Github itself is a bit messy and seems unnecessary due to the amount of bugs already reported/the little replies we get on them.

Using the forum itself if Github is unable to create subcategories for bugs may be an option for them.

Using the "Bugtracker" is the most efficient way of reporting and monitoring bugs.

Agreed, that it is sometimes "hard" to see if one bug is reported or not. This plainly comes down to the quality of the report that the person writes.

My experiences over this has been that some have been decent reports. Others have been pretty crap, to be honest. Despite myself explaining what basic principles to include.

I can't blame them entirely, as they've no experience on writing up bug reports and it does show.

Yes, people can report bugs, but it needs to be done well.

On that note. I'll talk with the team and come up with a "guide/instructions" on how to reports bugs in a manner that works well for the dev team.
