If those specs are indeed viable, as Bretin claims, there is no reason at all for this thread to exist.

They are viable. I don't deny that some small tweaks could be needed to implement certain classes a bit more into the group meta but idd there is no reason for this thread to exist, at least not imho.

No place for any of the "DPS" healers.

And here is a shining example of the mentality that is killing this game. Select classes leading the way in dps, while others are shunned. Even the tank and healer sections has maybe's to it. The dps classes either need a nerf or the others need a decent adjustment upward( which most seem to agree with). The problem is it has been this way for so long that getting people to change is going to be rough.

People always choose things that is most effective. Nerf casters - something other will be the most effective, and that something other will still be prefered over the less useful careeers. And no matter how one trying - WHO won't be chess, with totally mirrored classes.

I think the OP was actually encouraging people to play whatever spec they want. Then it got derailed by some people.

And i agree that those specs are viable, give or take a couple tweaks to some of them. Their melee/lifetap healing specs though... but that is a discussion for a different thread.
