I would like to remind everyone here how it was on live when you had the occasion to get free renown without effort aka lock leeching.
20 people in the lakes, fighting, taking objectives, 100 guarding the warcamp with banner for more renown.

Free stuff? No thanks.

I'm getting a bit tired of hearing this "I'm only a casual, so I don't have time to play the game"-excuse. This is an MMO. Probably one of the, if not the, most time-consuming gaming genres in existence (Possibly exceeded by Mobas?). This is a hardcore genre, and always has been. If you don't have time, then you probably picked the wrong kind of game. I think people are too used to getting spoon-fed from WoW's "recent" casual trend the last 6 years or so.
Besides, you can leave. You can Book out, or you can relog. Easy.

No, u dont get it right. It more about "progression" for new players. If its posibble to code I would vote for 1 emblem per sc for every player with less than a 72hours playtime. Everyone wants to have a good fights no? Not to stomp newbies/lowbies (maybe Im wrong with this).

Also Book have 60min CD so its not a solution. Same with relog as u loose ur buffs and used pots.

Good solution will be to enable sc leave via portal as in live (even with Quitter debuff).

Also Razid its not about me becasue I dont even know what to do with emblems (got 600+, already got both 2h weapons and full duelist and im full on pots).

It IS possible to code, but that doesn't mean that they should. It's not a good thing, because whether you like it or not, getting free stuff makes people lazy. People are gonna leech from the spawn, and they're gonna have zero interest in trying to actually win the SC. How is that for a non-stomp match?

A good solution would indeed be that, but that coding hasn't been fixed yet. That's kinda like saying "A good fix to the balance issue would be to just implement tier 4 and city sieges". Doesn't change the fact that the coding for that part of the game hasn't been fixed yet, and probably won't be in the near future, since there are far more important things to fix.

You get just about the right amount of progression for the amount of commitment. Why should new/casual players have it easier than the rest?
Maybe if one is so eager to leave the "imbalanced" battlefield, then some would say that one doesn't deserve to keep his buffs.

And boom. The cost of Devestator just got decreased. Can we drop this topic now?

This is a somewhat troubling comment from someone with the title of "Balance Moderator" - and one that doesn't carry much insight.

First off, the remark about having to work for it is downright silly. Most, if not all, players will try to get the full 6 emblems from a scenario. But, as mentioned in my first post, it is sometimes out of your hands whether it succeeds or not, due to imbalances between the opposing teams.

And as also mentioned, not everyone roam in premades all the time. Some even prefer not to, maybe because they find it too demanding. Which again comes back to the issue of elitism being your solution and that you need to find someone "to carry you".

Bottomline, it would simply be a fair gesture. You cannot "afk farm" scenarios 1 emblem at a time. It would be the most inefficent cost-benefit method ever. And the winning team still gets 600% more emblems than you.

regarding AFK farming in scenarios (which so many here seems to fear): On live there was this thing called "Idle Hands". It was a debuff which got applied after 30s of inactivity and resulted in zero emblems awarded to you, if you didn't do anything. Something similar could be introduced here.

And yet, people did it on live, all the time. Standing at the edge of the WC with banners etc. People will leech is the system allows them. If you want to implement an "inactive-debuff", then that's just even more work for the devs, for an issue that should be far from the top of the priority list. And all because missing that 1 emblem isn't fair.

You could also argue that it's not fair for the winner, that you get an emblem if you lose with 0 points. It goes both ways.

You can't buy Devastator-gear with emblems. And emblems also let's you buy more than just gear and weapons - like pots. Which are consumed all the time.

You can't buy Devastator-gear with emblems. And emblems also let's you buy more than just gear and weapons - like pots. Which are consumed all the time.
Oh, you're right. That's duelist. Sorry, I got the two mixed up, lol.
