Why the PvE hate?

I know that WAR's PvE wasn't exactly the most brilliant amongst the bunch, but it serves its purpose just fine. With the exception of the # of endgame instances, I see no diference between WAR and WoW PvE. Which is not exactly an accomplishment to brag about, but still...also there's another thing:

We have Warhammer Fantasy IP-an IP that is for all intents and purposes DEAD as I am writing this, so to just blatantly dismiss all the story, all the love that went into building the world(no matter how geographically wrong it may be) outside of small "RvR" lakes is...ignorant at best. Warhammer IP is known for its mysteries(T2 / T3 Empire plot right? "The lesser of two evils" anyone) in the vein of "The enemy within" and for various political twists and turns that could bring shame to Game of Thrones and for such a RICH landscape and lore...all fit PvE even better than it does fit PvP.

Which is not saying that I am against RvR. RvR is, according to me, the ultimate and the best endgame(it beats dungeon runs and various other nonsense to pulp). But to dismiss the 24 acts of writing, world building etc etc...

Help me understand: WHY?

The story is compelling, the quests could have been handled better, I think the medium of telling the story was not immersive enough, I thought Bioware was going to change that, and it looked that way when they took over (revamped tier1) but it didn't extend to the rest of the game or the ran out of steam.

Some people like story/lore/backstory. Some people don't.

Some people like PvP. Some people don't. Those people should find another game to play.
Zuuka - Okayzoomer - and many others
Khandikhaine/Ligmuh/Egf - Meatcircle - Ukruton - and many others
Old School / Lords of the Locker Room

The ignorant red part is what gets to me. WHAT OTHER WARHAMMER FANTASY RPG?

This is WARHAMMER and as such, it should be accesible to anyone. And wanna know why Mythic tried to shoehorn the focus on PvP? Because they failed at what they set out to do(bring Warhammer fully to life). The same as their excuses for (the lack of) balance etc.

If there was even a mod for Skyrim, you can bet i wouldn't be wasting time here. But THERE ISN'T. That is REALITY of the situation. And what else can exist except the reality?

So because there isn't any other Warhammer Fantasy RPGs out there, this one has to be changed just for you?

There is a Warhammer Sorcerer robe mod for Skyrim. I suggest you try it.

Also, change the color of your posts. It breaks the Forum ToS.

Long story short, there is opinion that mmos with PvE focus have most retarted features. Like flying unicorns(wow), nudity, weird clothes, sexism bs, and others. Just because some idiots like, it doesn't have to be in good game to ruin immersion or "atmosphere".

That is correlation, not identity or causation. Does Age of Conan seem Unicorn silly to you? Then you have korean PvP mmos with silly costumes etc.

And then there is LoTR:O and The Secret World which are both as PvE as it gets and they've shittons of immersion and atmosphere.

The same could be applied to WAR too. I like grim and realistic, yeah. But not everyone does. And the companies are just following the money that is the majority of gamers.

People do enjoy the pve elements of the game, even competetive pvpers will recollect fondly on TOVL or LV runs. That's because these things are easy to get involved, and reward the players for taking the time to experience them. The bosses were challanging and yet engaging on a story level.

PvE questing ultimately is a very solo experience, with alot of reading. Newer MMOs have tons of voice acting work to mitigate the sheer amount of reading that pushes people out of the game.
