Stacking is as much tactics as the aforementioned push through it.

Stacking 4-8 single target melee on same target isn't want some people want either, it's the same non issue....require about the same amount of skill from the indivudal player as AoE bombing on same location tbh.

The game was mostly likely balanced around 12v12 (12v12 scens were the only pvp for much of the game's development), but it works at many other scales as well.

For thoe people who believe that the game should be balanced around 6v6, I'm guessing that you are advocating that all ranged dps should have their dps increased by 50%. Because that is what it is going to take to bring rdps up to standard with mdps in a 6v6 environment. Of course, it will make rdps massively overpowered in other contexts, but 6v6 is the standard, right?

rdps have a spot in certain 6-man setups, viable for 6vX. Given similar skill levels, those groups can do just fine against melee trains.

Yeah right now rdps especially SW's are king of the game with armor vallues being so low. But in t4 with lvl aporpoate gear they wont. Maybe a BW who specs for undefenble fireball, CQ build might be but thats basicly a melee spec.

RDPS is in the best spot it will ever be in right now T4 MDPS will have access to all their toys and RDPS will go back to being subpar for the most part.

3-2-1 groups can beat 2-2-2 but I feel like in T4 they only do so by huge outplays, right now 3-2-1 groups are really good... even things like DPS AM are viable right now lol.

Yah, until they caved in and shoehorned RvR in. Now the million dollar question:

How do you shoehorn a core mechanic(around which the whole game is built like EvE or DAoC ie: true RvR) in? Right there Mythic sealed their fate. They should've stayed by their vision of WAR-PvE + Scens. Hell, if Rift's alive...you can bet WAR'd be too.

That move was like entering a reactor without a hazmat. Die you are going to. Not now, but eventually yes.

I think there's a big majority of people who liked this game for the RVR other them Scenarios and PVE tbh.

This is just gonna turn into a discussion on whether 6-man or ORvR is better or more important. It's pointless. People will never agree.

...did they even shoehorn ORvR in? I was in beta, and followed the game basically from inception. Wasn't RvR literally always a huge part of the game? Granted, this was a long ass time ago, so I could be misremembering.
