Tab targeting feels differently implemented in RoR than live. On live, I could tab target and find a squishy in back fairly easily but on RoR I can only tab target tanks. The only way to find a squishy through tab targeting is to hope they they overextend or hunt and peck with my cursor.

The client handles tab targeting, so this is just another example of people misremembering live.

I also agree that tab targeting is awful. I know you have a lot on your plate but are there any plans to attempt to improve this known issue?

I use target nearest enemy for the most part as I play melee, but rdps must have it rough. But even then I get tons of WL pets or the tank beating on me and end up clicking the healer I'm attacking. Luckily I use a naga so it doesn't affect my movement to do so.

Damn. So it's not possible to get a tabbing option that starts with the targets which are next to your hovering cursor?

bind target nearest to CAPS LOCK, use both :^)

Binding your assist macro to something you can mindlessly spam without interrupting your ability/movement keystrokes also works well. "q" seems to work best for me.

Yeah, the way I have it setup:

Cycle Through Enemies: Tab
Target Nearest Enemy: ½ (Just left of 1, and above Tab)
Assist: MouseButton 5
