Must be real fun and weight behind the constant "Knockback guard/Kill Starilas" ;)

Almost as fun as being a magnet engi in a WB! And if that is all you think 6v6 consists of, then :? :? :?

Well to be frank I didn't queue for 6v6 since 2011 so I've got no clue how it's here.
But I fear my ass will be handed to me since my second premade broke up a few weeks ago and now the third one no where near competitive levels. Is there anything to be excited about there?

It's actually really fun! And Caledor Woods allows for both ranged and melee set-ups, so everyone is happy (except Magus/Engi =P)

Guys don't make this a contest between ORVR or SCs being the "real RvR".

IMO just like OP stated both should yield similar renown progression per time spent. On top of having "separate" token reward ladders (emblems and medallions).

Reducing one or the other to a mere token grind that must be done is plain stupid.
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Can I just say that forming a warband with 24 takes no planning whatsoever and will fill faster than a 6 man. I had made a longer post before but eh.
Is this a shitpost? Let me know through personal message.

It doesn't even matter. You can do so much more than form a 24 man wb and still do fine. But what is the point? The Devs are fine the way it is now and seeing as most of them dislike Scenarios there is no way to change that. At the end of the day it's their server and they decide what changes are necessary

Yeah, I mean they are all right this game was NOT made for SC's, and I get the feeling they are much harder to balance anything for as most changes most likely are 100% for RvR performance. So there is that. If they don't wanna change them b/c they rarely play them I get it. I have a few guys with full duelist and sc weapons and I admit it loses some of the excitement.

But when you get a solid 6 man group, SC's can be really really really fun, for me anyway. You actually get to make a huge difference by not being a pull engi, or HD DoK or AOE spamming WP. You can play a Grace WP even haha and have a blast.

Some people don't get why 6v6 is challenging and assume that full scale warband combat is where the real warriors are. Maybe on live, but in my few months here, the majority maybe 90% of T3 warbands is tavern....... tower...... oh destro is defending, zerg door for an hour.... range pick off guys up top... oh they are pushing, retreat, wipe/clear them.... hmmm manor?

SC's are just pure combat, pure teamwork, not to say RvR isn't, but much less small scale teamwork and more of a zerg mentality in general. Of course there will be people who run only guild warbands and will QQ and rage at me for saying this. But be honest, RvR is usually freenown, or usually bomb groups, and the minority of big RvR scale is 2 wb's in the front, 1 flanks it, almost like military style attack. In those specific instances I have more fun that I've had on any other game.

But SC's do tend to bring out some of the better individual players in the game and some of the best 6 man groups I've ever seen were in SC's and not in RvR. It's less of 1,2,3,4 cleanse 1,2,3,4 cleanse 1,2,3,4 cleanse and much more moving, guard swapping, flanking, focusing, assisting... idk that is how I see it so that is my biased opinon as I generally have loads more fun with a Good SC than RvR mostly because a good fight is easier to find so you get more of them.

I see good-to-great 6man or 12 man groups in ORvR all the time. The gankers sniping around the edges of the keep, forcing a wipe when they have AAO, cause the pugs are halfblind. You see it quite often actually, when a 6man has more kills than an entire WB.

I agree that most ORvR is repetitive. However, there are 3 zones that consitute "End Game" for us atm. How much variation can you really expect? T4 helps this alot with the multiple zones and area's, each providing their own spots, not to mention T4 can be wide open allowing for far easier flanking.

But honesty, I don't know. We shall see what t4 brings. T4 is cool in that it almost forces you to compete in ORvR. Or else the enemy just walks on into your city, and then it's a giant pain in your ass for an hour or so. Not to mention a 6man can easily wipe a low RRd pug WB.

It will all depend on the activity and organization of the guild WBs. Pugs gonna Pug.
