2H tanky DPS? There are only 2, maybe 3 options:

Black Orc, Chosen, and possibly the Swordmaster.

My personal favorite is the BO:

The 2H BO only really kicks off in T4, though. Now in T3 you're probably better off as DPS SnB.

Good damage, Good surviveablity and good utility

Iornbreaker has it all, its a great party and solo tank even in 2h

secondly op please take the shut yer face videos with a grain of salt, thats a rr100 player in full glass cannon attacking players who are not even detuanting

Thanks for the info. Im aware of another above RR80 as having to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt... Apparently some type of armor set was released that has a chance to cause damage that bypasses armor or something? Anyways when I look on Youtube I can find "WTF" videos on any class. Saw a RR80 Chosen video of him nearly 3 shotting many players... Realistic in this game( RoR)? Probably not.

Yeah IB was one that I was considering as well... however not a HUUUGE fan of Dwarfs TBH and I REALLY dont feel like leveling another tank, on order side too haha. Then I would have them all.

I think based on what I have seen here, Im going to stick to my SM as well as start a WL. Hopefully get him up to T2 this weekend and get a sense for the class a bit. I know Pounce is deemed as one of the most OP moves in the game. What worries me about WL tough is many of the burst sources seem to be situational - like requiring hitting from the sides or back.. With NA ping of about 300, that can be very difficult to do... And why I avoided Wl in the firce place (I almost started with one).

I think once SM @ 40 gets theri 2H "HTL" ability (forget the name) ill be tanky enough and deal decent damage. Ill probably stick to BW for keep defenses only, and then maybe use WL depending on group comp.

I will say I usually see a need for tanks, so I dunno how much use of WL ill actually get - maybe if more people roll tanks I can break him out.

From reading many of your other posts I also got the feeling you wanna be a SM. And if you can keep your progression/gear at the very top end you'll find that tanky dps you are looking for. Have fun.

well considering that most of the cannons in Gates of Erkanund were destroyed, its understandable that there is a lack of ranged DD their

I felt at the current max renown rank wich is 40 2hander BO isnt very viable if you play in 6mans as you need like 40% parry to be able to survive the guard dmg and atm only like 20-25% is possible I THINK.
Especially if you want RD aswell wich is for me a must have.
Once you will have like a minimum of renown rank 60 it will be allot more viable.

Thanks! I have been enjoying it. Have 5/5 duelist, sold my Boundless 2h for the gold since rumor has it T4 is coming soon... Its just tough at this lvl renown (34) since I put 20 into Parry and ideally would have another 20 for disrupt/dodge and then ANOTHER 20 for strength... So maybe if they bump the level cap to 40/60 I might be able to soft cap STR but right now that may be my biggest issue...

Im gonna try a white lion though for fun just because I love making alts too (if you couldnt tell) haha!

Thanks for the feedback, thats now several people that suggest SM is what I would appreciate and I do, just not as much as I think I will at 40... When I can get both Balanced Accuracy AND WW.

on Destro CHosen wins 2h in T3, T4 Black Orc will shine brightly as a 2h but teh Chosen will still be more viable for Group participation no matter the spec.

Black Orc DPS spec with Sword and SHield though is pretty damn good though (as is currently)

the lack of stack str on SM is not a "MAJOR" issue since most of your damage comes from spiritual damage
