Damn, thread has already 18 pages... Where there any official words on the wipe now?

There hasn't been one, and there won't be one if we can help it.

Rejoiced to hear that! But if you ever have to do it, do it. Will always have fun to build up a new char if necessary.

Instead of a wipe, how about setting the carrot on the stick further out. I.e. gear progression via dungeons, forts, and city. I assume the purpose of a wipe is to give people stuff to do. Re-doing the content you've already grinded isn't exactly enjoyable.

if the purpose is for equal ground, what a crappy reward for those who have helped with bugs and balance by logging on.

The tier system helps break up the feeling of behind helpless in the game. Bolster further helps people compete even with crappy gear. I think Mythic has already solved the issues of equal footing. So ask again why a wipe is useful other than a comrprimised economy. It's not like there is some commercial release of the game coming out that will give people 1st time access to the game. They've had it the whole time, and 100's have chosen to wait for tier 4. That's on them. Yeah?

Im pro-wipe - gold, items, chars, everything. I dont really care. Im playing this game for fun, Ive spent 6 months in trial on Live so I dont care about items, levels etc. Just do it, its ALPHA.

To piss off all others ? If 10-20 levels is nothing, 35-40 is huge amount of time. They could wipe items gold and exp, but if they wipe renown there wont be population increase.

Did u farmed 24/7/365 to get 1000g? - Ur bad, this is a TEST, not a true game.

Have u leveled all 24 chars to 35/40? - Good for u, now u know all about the other classes and stuff, but hey its ALPHA TEST, nothing stays same at BETA/FULL game launch.

Do u have a bank full of very rare stuff? - Nice, but did u really think that u will be able to keep all the stuff after the end of ALPHA?

Im really sorry if some ppl get pissed/mad/annoyed or whatever, but this is a game in a TEST phase. Common sense should dictate to not to be overly attached to ingame stuff. There were several bugs connected to gold gain, items duping, higher renown influx etc. As some ppl said in other topic: progression is a fuel of interest - I rather lvl all the way to 40/40 again that to sit 2 years on 24 chars just to level each of them by 5 lvl to have that ultimate nerd collection.

Last thing - renown is really easy to get and the gain is quite high. There are actually ppl asking for lowering it. All u need is to grp up a bit, or do some SC, or even solo BO while cultivating...so many choices.

I really didn't wrote those things you posted. I have 1 char of 35 level(main WP) and 38 RR.

I am voting for a total wipe of everything to even the playing field and balance the game back, since the prices for stuff right now is outrageous.

Of course I am the type who wouldn't mind restarting my character from scratch, since I find the climb just as fun as the end.

Dev's have said multiple times on here something along the lines of,

For the most part, excluding gold (which I do not oppose a gold wipe, nor do I care if one does or does not happen), everything gained thus far will be irrelevant when t4 releases. The people saying a wipe needs to happen because all the new players are so under geared compared to the veterans are infuriating. People who have played a game longer than you SHOULD HAVE BETTER GEAR THAN YOU! So because new people are under geared from the veterans should we have a wipe every 6 months so that way the new players don't cry that people who have played longer have better gear?

The above statement isn't saying all people in favor of a wipe have that mentality because they do not and I am aware of that. However, I get tired of seeing people in in-game chat and forums cry that people who have been playing this game longer than them have better gear and have stronger characters then them. Yeah, that's how MMO's work. Do the grind like all the other honest players out there have to get their gear and quit crying.

Its not really needed to post another comment, but I thought of a wipe myself while imagine if it could be useful to start an alt. To explain, I love my main, do not even be one of the all glory pros in this game, but I love it so much and the time the deve team is spending on it.

If T4 starts, a "complete" wipe would waste out the tiers 3-4 for a little while, which is very sad I think. Maybe at some point, throughout a dev-poll, we (the community) can deside in a democratic move or something.

It is sad for all the hours spent on the char which are on right now.
The dealing issue with amount of gold and the prices at the AH is a common problem and will be go on with ups and downs, when the new tier hits.

Personnaly I prefer a whole wipe just in case to play the whole tiers once again with "my" main (name protection would be very nice ).
But for the good and healthy shape of this server it may live on, without it.
It's not a real game like others doin there stuff for money and wipe around through alphas and betas.
It is an honour to be part of.
And I would say sorry, if I repeat some posts, while not reading the whole 19 pages
