Hmm I don't really like this poll because there are so many options and a lot of people didn't experience the old versions of the rvr system.
The poll offers a nice first sight on what people prefered but in order to get a real result the poll would have to be cut down into two options.
Why do I think that?
The old systems where all "quite" similar with small changes of how it worked while the newest system changed a lot. Because of that the options should rather be old based systems vs ressource carrier system and then (if needed) further polls which one exactly.
+Really however liked the ressurce carriers never attacked a keep as a meele class because it was "Hmm well I stand here and wait till the ram opens the door and let the rangers on the wall hit me...oh nice the door is down okay next door yay..." not to mention the mass afk'er on both sides with that system.

I doubt the devs will look at this Poll as first past the post. The majority of the community is against resource carriers, they just cant decide which. If we summed it up as Resource carrier and NOT resource carrier - Not would win.

I prefer the one we current playing. I can said I did played all the patch since beta till live down. My opinion, Running resource to levelup the keep to 3-4-5 stars then rolling sieges to hit keep door; then no Lord and guards for defense... too easy to play. The Warhammer Online spirit is: Team work, Tactic Strategy, and Leadership. I knew escort resource carrier need team work too. But if the Keep lord and guards inside the keep, both 3 above are mainly parts to decide the win or lose.
If not Lord and guards, solo can cap the keep (if no resident defense), solo can cap bos. Since EA/Mythic launched the 1.40 patch, they started lost population include me; then the rat hole get-in at T2/T3 empire zone. Players started farm rats for powerlvlup, and purchased EA's Stop xp buff... I don't want RoR roll back to the old WAR path.

There was nothing worse than non-attackable doors, couriers and stupid-meat skaven(love them, but not in WAR).

I rolled back to WAR after they launched 1.4.8, 18mths before live sghut. Cuz not much mmo out there at that times. So the guild mates help me powerlvlup with farming rats at t3, 1 champ rat cost 15k xp. 4 hrs from lv1 - lv39. Its boringScrilian wrote:Ah, phew, got me worried for a sec there.

I made a post a while back expressing ideas that I felt would compliment the 1.4.0 - 1.4.8 ORvR system in a way that would satisfy the needs of the community that were not a fan of the Resource Carrier system as well as hopefully pleasing those that did favor the Resource Carrier system.

If we go with resource carriers I would suggest this:
1. Rams and other siege weaponry are made available at Keep Rank 2/3; instead of Keep Rank 4 (or something along those lines)
- This would help prevent keeping the zones empty for to long and cause more of an urgency to prevent enemy RC from reaching their destination.
2. Make the additional earned Keep Ranks make the Keep more defensible (ignore if that was how it already worked)
- This means that either the keep doors gain more health or more damage mitigation when attacked; making them harder to destroy the higher the Keeps rank. This will create an urgency for people to prevent RCs from getting to their destination as it will not only HEAL the door, as it did on live, it will make it more defensive.
3. Battlefield Objectives are protected by NPCs (my personal opinion)
- In live patch 1.4.0 – 1.4.8 the Battlefield Objects in T4 where not protected by NPCs. This allowed for anyone to go up to the Battlefield Objective and just start attacking the RC. While issues like range initiating the RC would have to be taken into consideration, this would hopefully prevent a single player from being able to initiate combat with an RC. A possible way to make that happen would be to make the RC unattackable until either a player of the RCs faction released it or the RC was released due to its own auto-release timer like they had on live.
4. Do NOT broadcast that a RC of your realm is under attack
- It was to easy to just sit on a BO and send the RC and not do anything until you realized one of them was under attack. If their attack is not broadcast I believe it will force players to actually escort the RC instead of lazily waiting around. They might not escort anyways but that just means people can publicly ridicule them for feeding the enemy Keep, not doing their job, or alerting others that they needed help.
Definitely broadcast the name of who killed/plundered the resources though! That was fun to try and hunt that guy down!
5. Do NOT make the RCs able to be killed solo
- In live patch 1.4.0 – 1.4.8, practically anyone could solo a RC. I played a complete turtle tank IB and even I could solo a RC if left uninterrupted and even sometimes interrupted. I am not saying make them require a 6 man to kill but make it so you at LEAST have to have 2-3 people to kill.
6. When an enemy RC is defeated someone must then pick up that resource and transport it either to their realms keep or warcamp (I feel like it was like this on live at some point but I can't recall)
- This one does not have to happen I just always thought it would be more entertaining. The person who picks up the resource would not be slowed down and could mount up, but their location would be tracked on the map. Perhaps make an interactive turn in spot inside the keep and just outside the warcamp.
While this was not my favorite ORvR system I definitely did not hate it. And with what seems to be a rather large proportion of the community being in favor of the 1.4.0 - 1.4.8 patch, I felt these ideas regarding that system would make the experience more enjoyable for players, such as myself, who were not huge fans of RCs while still (hopefully) appealing to the members of the community that enjoyed this system.

Resource carries could be good if they were re implemented in a way that was not detrimental to the overall flow of ORvR, same goes for a lot of things... scenarios being a part of VP one of them. Remember we are on a private server with a dev team that actually loves and plays the game. Adding depth to ORvR by adding things to it opens up new types of play and roles.
