Hi everyone, I have a friend playing on your server and after I downloaded RoR client to join him and created my account, I cannot manage to login into the server, the launcher tells me I'm using a wrong username/password but the user is correct and the password is the same I'm using for the forum where I just logged in to write.
I've also tried to login with my friend's account and it works perfectly and lets me play, so I guess it's not a problem of my own client or similar.
I've also read the known issues topic but couldn't find any solution.
Any suggestion will be kindly appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Authentication problems
I am having this issue as well, My brother is playing just fine. I registered and I can log into the website/forum with no issue but I cannot log onto the server.
Re: Authentication problems
You can try reading through this authentication error fix topic and see if any of the suggestions work for you.
Re: Authentication problems
The solution you linked was to a problem caused by programs compatibility, but as I said, I can login in my friend's account from my pc but not on mine sadly.
I'll be waiting for further instructions

Re: Authentication problems
Have you tried firewall and anti virus exceptions for the game folder, war.exe and ror launcher.exe?
Try full system virus and malware scan for any applications that could be preventing it from launching.
Ccleaner registry to see if any registry's are altered.
As I've said to many others who have had this issue; I've never found a consistent cause to this problem, so other than suggesting different things which work for some, they may not work for others.

ofc tried already, but as I said, the problem couldn't be that, my friend's account works just fine on my client and I manage to play with his one.Elven wrote:Have you tried firewall and anti virus exceptions for the game folder, war.exe and ror launcher.exe?

There seems to be a problem between webserver account creation and validation file matched to verify existing account, which seems not to be updating with newest accounts.

Re: Authentication problems
I can confirm that I am having this exact same issue.
I am able to log into my brothers account without issue on my system which means it cannot be a client side error.
However I am still receiving a incorrect username/password error when trying to log into the game.
The only thing I can think of is my account exist on the forms but not the game server.
