So yea it helps, it minimaze the error chance and allow you to keep an eye on other aspects of the fight.
I am absolutely sure that if banned some ppl wont know how to play some of the more complicated classes
Start with binding a bar to the letters near ur movement keys : q,e,r,t,f,v,c,x,z. (really if ur R key is still reply, u are wasting it.)
Then u got ur classic bar with numbers, up to 5 can be reached easily unless u got short fingers then i guess 4, and that right there should already hold most of your must have close by skills.
Then theres also a previous/next buttons on most mouse(mice? whatever) even the cheap ones, which are very accessible keys and should be bound to important skills. if one owns a gamer mouse with more buttons then even better but u dont HAVE to buy it. same deal with keyboard with macro keys, u can bind em to do a combination ud never use in combat and macro that, mine is a g510, bind the 1st row from al+7 to alt +=, and thats yet another 6 keys u can easily reach with ur pinky. but that too, isnt mandatory.
Just a proper keybind will get you like 15 easy keys, which is more than enough for the combat skills that are important on every class or so, rest is pretty much **** u'll use out of the action and doesnt need a priority key. worst of the worst, i find alt +1 to alt +4 can be accessed easily too.
then once u got that set up, play and practice till it becomes muscle memory. thats how good players get great, and thats also how they are able to perform even when they are wasted on whatever drink or weed ;p also, its a lot more fun to play with plenty of keys than macro'ed stuff. i associate a fair share of the failures of the mmos in the recent years to lack of active skills players can use which brings lack of variety in the play style. the secret world 7 skills, eso 5 skills and a swap on weaps that keep bugging, gw2 10 skills and tied to weapon, etc etc. pretty bad design, made with console ports in mind for some of em
i guess i could close this post by saying one doesnt have to bind the keys exactly like i described, its jsut my particular way of doing it, ultimatly it all boils down to finding a setup that maximizes ur available keys, that u are comfy with, and practice with it till ur hands move by themselves.
