I see, we're talking past each other. You folks are talking about maxxed out efficiency while I wasn't.

Nevermind.

I wish Magus did have more of a role but it doesn't really :/

Magi in pug vs. pug fights are excellent due to the chaotic nature of pugs.
Magi as a rift bot works well, but it's not too hard to counter.
Magi has no role in a 6-man
Magi can work in a 12-man, but so can a melee herder, or any class really?

The magi class has no role, whether people accept that or remain in denial is a different story. I can't wait to see all the "badass" magi once t4 is released :^). I shall keep my wh.

Solo lake ambusher or duels is ok
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

This is not a 1 vs. 1 game, but yes they do quite well in duels and one-on-one combat, but there' also a lot of other classes that perform a lot better in that area.

If we are going to define a "niche" role, then magus fits the "zerg class" role. They are very useful in keep fights and defense. Once again, opinions are subjective of course.

And why not P3?
We're the swiss knife of support, except healing and no guard.
I've seen a screenshot of an Engie number 1 healing in City although.

Full optimized groups who only play when everyone is online don't want us, that's for sure. But when folks aren't in that elitist attitude and don't mind a Magus we do have more than only chaotic rift to offer. That's my eperience even when I brought little Nid (as Doksssues named her) in T4.

Little Nid was 40RR0 (used the live event to get her to 40) to see if I could still handle the huge gap with all those nasty rr100 around.

zerg class = oRvR to follow the campaign in pushing Aldorf/IC or go for the relics ?
Keeps in the lakes = decoration that nobody should give a damn as the real meta should SC's and 6vs6 ?

Just asking, no offense meant.

I'm not going to have a discussion with you. Once T4 is released you're more than welcome to prove your points and show everyone that you are god's gift to the magus class. Believe me, I'm looking forward to it.

Edit: prowess is determined in-game, not on forum flame wars. If you truly think you fit in every role possible, then I can't wait to see you in action.

Zerg is a word single target heroes use to make em feel better about themself. The actuall word is large scale combat. And yes Magus is really good in large scale combat. They have 2 pretty decent specs for this that plays differently. One being longer ranged were you close in for the win and the other one is close range. The game however have shifted focus more and more to smale scale since release wich makes the class more and more useless.

@Renork

See you there, just be patient as I'm slow at leveling up. And I don't mind running into one of my nemesises aka WH.

I'm not God's gift of anything but after having to endure X years of "you're just useless crap and should reroll Sorc to be finaly usefull for your realm" I tend to show my teeth. My mistake.
I also don't fit in every possible role but I can partially compensate for the lack of some stuff, sometimes although.
