Creating Talismans

I appear to not be able to level my Talisman skill.
Anything other than Weaponskill cant be made.

Problem is, whenever i try to input the impure gold dust, the window "resets" but still lists the items inputted before as in use until i clear the window myself.

Known bug, did i do something wrong?

EDIT: This only counts for talismans ober the white rarity.

If you've hit 28ish talisman making, you need to start using lvl25 basetalisman materials(dust,gold,essence can be lvl1), as lvl1 materials wont level you up anymore.

Thats not my problem, i couldnt use lvl1 green/blue/purple talismans to make talismans, it wouldnt let me use a gold essence

Really old post but I have the same issue. I try to use a level 1 gold essence and it just wipes to crafting screen clear, or won't work at all. All other items i use are level 1.
