[POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
Really surprised to see so many ppl voted for the "Resource carriers that rank keeps (patch 1.4.0 – 1.4.8)" - that was the most retarded RvR change in WaR, which totally killed all the T4 campaign fun.
Nerf is coming, nerf is near, nerf is something you should fear!

My personal theory is that 1.4+ appealed to many players that liked solo ganking/skirmish in inactive zones (being ranked) while the blob monster moved from keep to keep (in the active zones). This was sort of "missing" in VP-system and Domination systems.

A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Maybe a mix of RC, VP, and domination could give a bit of everything (http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7).
1. Preparation: Send resource carriers to open contest
2. Contest: generate VPs (BOs, skirmish and winning SCs. Even VPs from PvE and PQs is viable) to get a ram
3. Siege: take the keep
4. Domination: control all BOs and hold the captured keep (don't reset doors) for X minutes
5. Lock
So ..
Multiple zones open for ranking and ganking. One or more zones being contested for war band action. Unify the realms by making SCs part of the campaign. Lastly an ending domination to create the need for alliances and realm organisation once more.

I liked the 1.0 - 1.2 but it had some problems. The best way of defending was to not turn up at all. We don't want everyone to pve empty zones to the cities, but not turning up should not be a (the best) way of defending if you're outnumbered. Having all bos and keeps + pushing PQs should be able to lock zones, after holding everything for maybe an hour?

that's the solution i came up too but a little ifferently, supply system should allow you buy stuff, but if resusrce do not fade then once reach lv 4/5 is useless. So instead make sapper heal door (lol no please) you need a dynamic supply system with a keep level that can go down as well whenever you buy stuff, heal the door with tank skills
This should work in togheter with the lock system which are 2 separate thing so player are actually able to choose how to procede during an attempt to lock a zone; add relics to move around in the zone only and you alredy have 3 different things to do:
-take supply from flag to keep
-cap stuff around
-move/secure relics
-add that you can have both vp system and capture and hold loation lock system
and other stuff can be add for more fun.
