Hello mighty Dwarven brethren,
Currently Im running this 2H build on my IB ( was thinking about going brotherhood for self heal)
waronlinebuilder.org - Ironbreaker build
All my RR has gone into parry %
2 questions
1. Am i better off slotting WP Talis or STR Talis?
2. What would you guys suggest for Masteries when T4 comes out?

Re: [Ironbreaker] The Crucible: Class discussion and guides
What should I spend my renown on for a SnB IB? Also how much strength should I have at 35? And is weaponskill important as well?

Re: [Ironbreaker] The Crucible: Class discussion and guides
Some ideas from my limited experience on a 2h IB :
Mastery
1- If I go 2h, I needed to deal good ST damage. Otherwise there's no point in being 2h.
2- IB's best skill as 2h is Cave-In. Any build without it, imo, should be SnB.
3- Since I go pick up Cave-In in vengeance, Ancestror's Fury seems also a must : 10% crit for 1 more point is really good.
4- Putting all my renown in parry didn't seem to be THAT great. I tried it, then tried 10 points, then 0. Without Oathbound, parry is too low anyway.
5- Considering above point : I used 6 Mastery to get Oathbound. I aim for about 50% parry with the buff.
6- I use remaining Mastery points to grab Greataxe mastery, 10% damage and 5% parry is great. As per #1, if you go 2h, might as well put out some damage. + with the 4 points left, there's really nothing else good to get.
Renown, gear, stats
1- I prefer Devastator over duelist : the damage difference is really low in my experience, but the survivability difference is noticeable. The devastator proc, give nearly 100% uptime 10% parry, dodge/disrupt. Compared to duelist, you lose about 40 strength, 40 WS, 8% crit. You gain nearly 100 toughness and 50 wounds.
2- Slot strength talis in devastator. Use strength/WS/wounds Jewels.
3- Renown, I went : 10 parry, 10 dodge/disrupt, 20 WS (I like 20 strength too).
4- Tactic (90% of the time, sometimes i switch a bit...) : rugged, greataxe mastery, sweet revenge.
All in all, It looks like this (granted, I has a lot of good gear Boundless/brigand, etc) :
480 strength (575 buffed)
407 WS (473 buffed)
520 toughness (600 buffed)
26% parry (51% with buff)
18% dodge/disrupt (28% with Devastator proc)
1% crit (26% with buff and 50 grudge)
7100 health.
Edit : It is very rare that all those buff are up though. I generally swap between offensive buff and defensive buff depending on the situation, i.e. is my team trying to push or trying to survive a push.
About Grumble'N Mutter and Punishing Knock
1- GnM isn't great. 25% parry from oathbound will probably save you more health in a fight then GnM would heal you. Same solo, in a 1v1, or 1v2, dealing more damage, on demand KD and 25% parry will probably help you more then a small heal, except maybe in duel agasint other tanks.
2- Punishing knock looks good. I don't think it is THAT good. Good healers will cleanse it/be in good position so you can't reach them without overextending too much. Bad healers, well you should beat their teams anyway : they have bad healers. No heal debuff necessary.
Sinceriously,
Volgograd, bad IB with annoying addons.

2H Build

Some of the obvious aspects are a maxed out PoV tree. This isn't designed around 1v1, but instance play. Earth Shatter is an absolute-must in any type of group PvP.
Climbing the tree for Earth-Shatter also enhances all PoB abilities which is important when seeking out group utilization and self-buffs.
Punishing Blow keeps them from running and can set you up for a nasty ax throw.
There little to no need for double-spec knock backs, so we can leave the Rune-Etched Tactic alone.
You'll want maximal damage for Binding Grudge.
Cave-In... Don't really need to explain that one. Ancestor's Fury, works as a very good pop off your Cave-In.
Spam Heavy Blow in between and don't be afraid to blow a Grudge-Unleashed to continue pounding down your enemies.
Your 1V1 Build SnB
waronlinebuilder.org - Ironbreaker build
This is my preferred 1V1 Build.
Cave-in is another obvious. It's our strongest knock-down.
Oathstone offers an unprecedented amount of utility, particularly when chained with Shield Wall. We use Shield Wall instead of Skin of Iron to play off the proc abilities for damage reduction to follow. The M2
9 Point in PoV offer enough damage to widdle ANY DPS down.
Some of the chosen tactics are situational, but I'd recommend these for essentially any situation.
You'll be able to turn yourself into an untouchable rock chaining:
Sheild of Reprisal, Oath Stone, and Cave-In. And when it comes time, Light up that Shield Wall.
Keep your OB Buffs and Veng strike and you'll be dang well off.
Taunt, Sunder, Sever and Heavy.
These builds are all taken from my builds from LIVE.

You take three tactics/abilities from the middle path that require a shield and one ability from the left path that requires a 2 handed weapon?Letendeth wrote:

So, in your opinión GnM is not worth it for 1v1?
Re: [Ironbreaker] The Crucible: Class discussion and guides
Your builds are... strange for me. For pure 2H DPS build with earth shatter I would pick outgoing heal debuff as a MUST HAVE for assisting your mdps. For my self I would rather spec like this: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=ib; ... :3750:3770:Letendeth wrote:2H Build

Since grudge born fury hit like crap around 250crit and its channeled spell(easily interupted). For T4 I would pick rather M4 which has huge dmg AOE outpoot.
Your 1v1 spec doesnt make sence, because You combine 2H only sklil(cawe in) with SnB tree and passives. For 1v1 the Grumble and Mutter(self heal) is priority nr 1. in build like this: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=ib; ... :3750:3760:
For non full DPS 2H build, but rather 2H support build I would suggest something like if you party has AH starving issues . http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=ib; ... 2:;0:0:0:0:

this is the base 2H ib build, where you go from their is up to you
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=ib; ... 0:0:0:3760:
from there you can can either choose to get grumble and mutter which gives you great sustain or oath bound which also increases your surviveabity and ulility and also pairs well with the dwarven riposte tactic
rock clutch if solo or champs chall if in grp, you already have a much better armor debuff than demolish with stone breaker
skin of iron vs raze just like gromil plating vs distracting bellow is a personal play style decision that up to you

Re: [Ironbreaker] The Crucible: Class discussion and guides
Why such a lack of love for Runic Shield ? Its cost is instantly replenished, its cooldown is very short and the absorbed damage is just fine (800something at lvl 35).
