[DoK] Path of Torture Renown Abilities

As someone very new to the game (Never played it live) I'm confused from a beginner standpoint on what to do for Renown abilities. I've seen some specs linked around and neither having the Renown attached to them which makes painting a picture somewhat difficult for me this early in the game.

So what are some suggestions for Renown to fit the Path of Torture, and reasons given the playstyle the build tries to achieve?

I currently use 20 in parry and 20 in str to boost it. I supose you could instead put 20 in melee critical. For talis i use armor to help me survive and armor/strength pots. You also need to have at least 20% armor penetration from WS. These are my masteries http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=dok ... 990:4993:0: . I only use Curse of Khaine instead of khaine's blessing when I am in a premade party. I hope this helps you. For lower levels I don't know, I played heal DoK, its simpler and easier.

Thanks for the reply Pan. So Parry and Strength are their big focus? I suppose I can avoid the crit if they don't really need in their build to be effective entirely, and since it seems the Strength reduces the opponents block and parry, might be better off there.

I don't think I have either of those abilities yet, so I'll keep an eye out :p

Melee crit is very useful and really increases your dps but only if it's already high. Also at later levels your equipment gives you a considerable amount.The forth piece set bonus for duelist is 5% crit for example. At level 25 if you use all you mastery points on sacrifice you can get devour essence whichI strongly recomend using until you get better gear.

Stats from renown is a poor investment. Get parry/melee crit.
