i'm running an am these days when i cannot speak with guildies in vocal chat and the absorb is pretty bad.
there are also some inconsistency as the BO wounds buff that is better than sm abosrb etc, absorb should behaviour as temp wounds and not something differently or it should be adjusted to work better.
It feel it work better on other classes due to guard meccanic maybe.

I did the math on Warped Flesh a couple months back, and even with the 25% proc chance and 3sec internal cooldown it still outpeformed both FA and Rugged on almoast all tests.
I had to add something like 8 players hitting before Rugged became bette, And rugged outpeformed FA unless it was 8+ BW's
I think Absorbs were post mitigration at one point of the game but it was just way to strong so was changed to happen after dps bonus instead.

I stopped slotting warped flesh for the crappy absorb as well, while it served me well on live.

ye robin i agree with you just for a tank have an absob pre mitigation make no sense if bw hit me pre mitigation for 2k i just remove a lot less than i suppose from live. As i said i use it as sort of regen with sov to have 1k regen+ absorb in live but atm i hardly see it possible which it was the only use i have for that tactic. 8 in fact i used warped flesh instead toughness on live last times)
This just free up other options, for me if it work pre mitigation is not worth of being used.
It's just better slot synphone energy at that point, work wonderfull in zerg, regen wounds so > than absorb and also give you speed increase. I have too few point for any nice build anyway atm....

I can get downfall with full set of ruin. Thinking also in dropping Discordant Turbulence for Siphoned Energy + Tzeentch's Reflection combo
