Black screen instead of char list

When I enter the game I hear music and see interface buttons like "Options", "Server" and others. But background is black and I can't create any char. Help me, please. Really wanna play.

Just downloaded the game files and was having the same problem. Got the new data.myp file and that fixed the problem for me. Thanks!

To me it sounds like file(s) are incomplete/corrupt. What method did you use to download it? Try downloading the game.

As any manual download links are down, I used torrent. And yeah, I redownloaded it already. Same thing.

Did you move the game folder from outside the torrent download folder?

I loaded it directly where I wanted it to stay.

Is your torrent client still running? If the files are in use, that can cause issues.
