I came back after a two week hiatus, but ever since I logged on there has been an issue where the pet is completely unresponsive if there is a single thing in the way of the pet and the target. It can no longer round corners, can no longer change targets if you don't have direct LOS to it, and responds to virtually nothing in tight corridor scenarios like Reikland Factory and Gates of Ekrund.

The pet did not operate like this on live, it was much more reactive and didn't need LOS of something to begin to walk towards it.

Is there a particular reason for this change?

That's a shame. I was getting all excited to fetch people again!

Squig herders/Magus/Engies, are you guys seeing the same issue? LOS making your pets do diddly squat?

can't confirm any of the described behavior. for me the pet works perfectly fine besides the fact that it can't be controlled on mount and the random disappear from time to time it seems all good.

Unfortunately I can confirm the odd behaviour. Pet wouldn't attack most of the targets, unless you jump in them too. Also, I found that activating speed the targeting and fetch work. It's a mess, put the WL briefly on hold until the pet is sorted out

I'm experiencing similar issues: the pet isn't that responsive, it disappears at totally random intervals and/or it gets stuck behind god knows what and is miles behind you.

Using LoyalPet addon, keeping it on passive and then using bound keys to adjust it when needed helps, but it's buggy at best and especially when solo roaming puts you at a massive disadvantage if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do or just totally disappears.

I'll still play my WL as it's the class I love most, but I'm hearing a lot of other WLs shelving the class until the pet gets sorted out.

hmm been playing my WL lately without having these mentioned issues, pet even attacks out of sight targets if i ask it to.
I'll try it in scenario's, see if thats any different.

Are the people NOT experiencing this issue using any pet-specific addons? I'm currently not using any, and every time I try to send my pet in to attack and there's something in the way I am getting the message in my chatbox "Your pet cannot see that target."

I'm wondering if it has to do with the addons you're using and them interacting with the latest patch.

Either way, suuuuper frustrating.
