OMG worst change ever.
If people don't go oRvR beacause they dont get RPs its them who have the problem with what this game is about.
This is not a grind game. This is a game where you go out to RvR to fight and have fun. If you guys start thinking otherwise you will start making the same mistakes Mythic did about the game.
The real game starts when you get 40/40. Its then when you can focus on improving your skills rather than waiting or running after every damm RP tick out there.

WAR was always about grind what are you even on about, it had and has worse grindy PvP than even WoW.
IDC either way, but I have a feeling if this game was just a GW style everyone starts off with a max character and same power level gear for PvP a lot less people would be playing because the game would have to stand completely on it's gameplay which IMO it can't
Yes there are a lot of autistic people out there who play for the progression/grind. The carrot on a stick is the driving force for getting enough people out in the lakes.

I guess I just don't understand what the point of allowing to advance beyond rr40, but at only 25% of normal renown gain. I get not wanting the game to be Zergy, but what is the thinking behind super slow renown gain? Before the fanboys rip me apart..please consider the fact that the question is being asked out of honest curiosity. Just sometimes feels like punishment. If you want people to not loose interest in RVR why not just have renown be normal? I appreciate the support of the game either way, just don't understand.

Sorry but i find thats not a very good change. Its justs add like others said grind and a power gap. I think a game should be played for fun. I still would play sc just for the fun when i hit max rr. Its should be about the fun killing stuff and not about purple atleast for my logic. So now if you just wanna pug a bit for fun you will get not only steamrolled form premades (which i can except) but also from premades with more stats or skills form rr . Sound not so fun for me. Powergap!=fun
Give them a rrbar to 100 (or whatever) but dont give them rrpoints if its only about seeing purple and not about rolling players with better stats to feel pro.

The renown gain was way too high in the first place and i wouldnt even be mad if the rrgain before rr40 would be reduced by 50% either. Nonetheless: FINALLY purples again <3

Do you even have any slight idea how long it takes for RR alone to even create something you can call a powergap? Even with 40 points more (which should take you about a year or so) you will besides one or two active skills be not much more stronger than now. And whoever puts in more time into a game should also be more rewarded. Thats the point of mmos. Theres literally no reason some random guy who plays 1 or 2 times a week should be equally strong as someone who plays on a daily basis in my eyes. This is a MMO so i expect "some" grind. I believe that maxing your PJ is a path to discover it so i totally support the "have to level up" your toon. However sooner or later there has to be a MAX level cap somewhere. I could understand a level cap rise though but only in behalf of powerful reasons. (Carrot is not one of them)
If people don't go out to RvR, devs should ask themselves why. We all know that this actual system is temporal but there should be many other solutions to the problem rather than just increasing the RR cap to 80 (lol 80!!!!!!).
Yeah, it will make some people come back to RvR and keep the RP farm but... are those the kind of players that they want in the game?? really?
Let me be straight, we need to encourage players who enjoy fighting not just at keeps but in real OPEN RvR situations. We need people fighting for BOs, we need people fighting all over the map not just at keep defences. We need to get the "server/realm-pride" back.
This game on live failed when Mythic started to: 1st, make things easier so everyone could get their Warlord and sovereign sets and 2nd, when they started increasing the RR cap as a way to make people into RvR.
Just don't make the same mistakes again plz.

T4 Scenarios give to one of my characters 300 renown by average win or loose. Keep defense tick is now 300 rr too ( and no loot bag roll ) To get from 40 to 41 I will need to do around 170 scenarios and that is just for one character.

IMO this make more people to fight in the lake. Not for grind. For fun and renome. At least I played last two months for fun (all mains on 40rr). Another reason to play is just great.
But I can not wait for full change log... I have a feeling that this will rock
