Who the **** is complaining about this?

Saw someone say this isn't a grind game, did you guys even play before 100 patch?
Jesus titty **** Christ, It is THE best incentive to stop X-realiming. It is THE best incentive to find AAO.

So, pick a main, have some fun.

My single gripe is that RR is locked to level, no need for it now in my opinion.

I guess people need to get used to the reality that this is not Live.. And it never will be. I think many of us are here because we are dedicated Warhammer players..I think we are all happy to have the opportunity to be back in game. That said it seems like the game IS becoming more grind oriented. I am sure this appeals to some people.. seemingly the Devs as well. I'm not able to spend 9000hours on a game in order to achieve maximum rank. I am baffled at how much distaste some people have for the Live version of this game. There are and where always a ton of brain killing grind heavy games.. Warhammer was alway a good balance... A game that a fan of the lore could get into. Not sure what the direction of ROR is going in. I didn't find Live to be easy mode.. I played with my kids.. and even with the limited time we have as a family we could get on and feel like we made headway. Grinding endlessly just kills the excitement.

@noisestor You realy thinks it takes a year? Log on the defending realm and just take a healer and an aoe for keep defenses for max renown will never take so long. If you want rewards how about cosmetic ones? I never get the "I play more than you i wanna steamroll you with more stats and gear" vibe. I thought games should be about skill and fun not stats and gear. (not meant personal) I found the gw2 way with all same gear possible for all (for the spvp part) a refreshing idea (sadly class inbalnces)

@noisestorm

A power gap will exist.

Although you easily discard the power gap one or two skills creates. It's massive. On my WL alone, Mercenary allowed me to have a good spec whilst getting the outgoing heal debuff. That was a game changer. Ten more renown and then I can have Primal Fury, which will be a make or break in many situations. Add in the stats that you can invest renown points in, and a significant power gap will exist. To argue otherwise is a fallacy.

I also fundamentally disagree with your statement that time invested should equal to more power. That is exactly the mentality that kills most MMOs as it disenfranchises the masses. Now, a game shouldn't necessarily cater to the masses, but at least should make it engaging and rewarding for them. Being rofl-stomped by players with OP stuff doesn't help with that. If you are "l33t" and "pr0" and live in the game, you would want a fight where you can test your skill on a relatively comparable footing, not one where you win because your gear already massively stacked the odds in your favour.

If i used the renownbuilder from the website correct it would be 136 Points in stats. I gues everybody wears their
armor with six empty talisman slots? If yes then we will get no powergap

This is not a grind game. This is a game where you go out to RvR to fight and have fun. If you guys start thinking otherwise you will start making the same mistakes Mythic did about the game.

The real game starts when you get 40/40. Its then when you can focus on improving your skills rather than waiting or running after every damm RP tick out there.

Seriously, terrible mistake.
Unfortunately this does not work for everyone. People want to have character progression and renown ranks are one way to fill that once players have their merc gear and what ever annihilator they want, people need an incentive and chasing purple numbers is a fantastic way.

Unfortunately, if you don't notice, many guilds are leaving EU time and NA RvR is almost non existent past 10pm central, yes scenarios pop but there is no RvR fights.

-.- *edit*
wtf my text is gone -.-

there dont will be a powergap .
first of all , ALL Players get more rr now not just one .
second with 25 % renown u will not able to be massiv higher
thrid . u rly think in a 12vs 12 or 24vs 24 or higher it makes a diffrent that U have primal fury with youre wl or not ? ...... and mayb on the otherside from the 24 Players someone is same rr ? and got one more cast ?
u have to think at 12vs 12 and more it ´nearly ever will be even cause some are higher some are lower . so wheres the power gap ?

How about cosmetic gear tied too rr? Then you can look more shiny with higher rr. Or open renown level without getting renown points to spend for stats if its just about seeing purple. That would of course not work if its about rolling others with stat advantage.
